Interview with Euphoric Energy drinks.  11/18/10

 

Question 1.  Who are you and what is the name of your company.

John Bevens, (Chief Operations Officer & Co-Owner). The Name of our 6 flavor line is Euphoric Energy…

 

Question 2.  How many people work for your company?

Currently we have a network of over 40 people currently working with Euphoric Energy here in Arizona and around the country. We have (and are always looking for more) brokers, event coordinators, promoters, brand ambassadors sales people, distributors, etc. We all wear a lot of hats to keep overhead down, but makes us better overall because we can offer great pricing to our customers due to lower overhead.


Question 3. How did come up with the idea for euphoric energy drink (and the name)? Surely there is some interesting story involved.

The Euphoric Energy name came mostly from the herbal component of our line.
Euphoric Energy incorporates 4 really amazing adaptogenic “super herbs” that can help elevate your mood, increase your energy ( in a more natural fashion) an often act as an herbal “tonic” for the body. Maca, Suma, Damiana root and Ginseng root are all used in Euphoric Energy and have been used for thousands of years by ancient (and modern) cultures because of their health benefits, nutritional content, energy boosting properties and almost “euphoric” effects on brain—thus the name was born!


Question 4. When can we expect to see your drinks in our local stores?

We are actually working on master distribution networks for several states (outside of Arizona, Illinois, Oregon) and constantly interviewing distribution companies around the country. We are open and interviewing distributors on an on-going basis. We will be soon be selling Euphoric Energy by the case online at our website www.euphoricenergy.com sometime in November 2010.

 

Question 5. Are you selling your drinks internationally?

We are currently in talks with several countries including Mexico, Sweden, United Emirates, Australia and others but always open to speaking to international brokers and distributors around the world to expand our Euphoric Energy brand.

 

Question 6. Why so many flavors? That is a wide variety you have there.

Yes, thanks we are pretty excited about our 6 flavor line up and we have great response from consumers on all our flavors. Our flavors include: Watermelon-Kiwi, Pomegranate-Passion Fruit, Orange-Mango, Raspberry-Strawberry, Banana-Strawberry, and Lemon Lime. Our drinks are amazing straight and some of the most amazing mixers out on the market that I have see yet.


Question 7. Who designed your can and the logo on it?

The cool 3D looking can design was done by our Ad Agency Media Architects here in Arizona that handles all our creative needs, website design, graphics, media buys, PR, etc. You can see more of their great creative work at: www.media-architects.com

 

Question 8. Why did you pick the ingredients you use in your drinks like the Damiana, Maca, and Suma? These are unique ingredients.

Yes, they are unique ingredients. We really set out to create a more healthy, better tasting flavor profile for Euphoric Energy that uses more natural ingredients and actually puts B vitamins, minerals, amino acids, electrolytes and 4 energy boosting super herbs back into the body. This combination of ingredients and our use of the healthier beet sugar (versus high fructose sugar) help create a more sustained energy formulation that doesn’t promote the “jitters” and helps reduce crashing. All this and it still tastes amazing.


Question 9. Who is your products main competition? Energy drinks, Energy shots; Starbucks.

Well right now our main competition is obviously the big four energy drink players (and we all know who they are) and certainly energy shots have made an impact on the market as have the coffee drinks, flavored waters, etc. We prefer though to focus on what we need to do next as a company rather than worry about what the competition is doing. We try to create our own unique path for Euphoric Energy and not replicate anything that’s already come before us--especially on the flavor and formulation front. We are super proud to say that our energy drinks are unique and are unlike anything out on the market right now.

 

Question 10. Do you plan on introducing any sugar free versions or maybe an energy shot in the future?

Absolutely. We are very excited about the new sugar free formulations we have been working with our labs on and already have one that is very close to being keeper. We should be rolling out our first sugar free sometime, if all goes to plan, sometime in early 2011 and will alert you and your fans to that for sure.


Questions 11. What is the market your looking for? Extreme sports? Night life? Office  workers, Women, Men, Teens?

Great question! Yes, we are really open to many channels for our product and those do include extreme sports, X games, motocross, BMX, skateboarding, surfing and all the sports in that realm. Our main goal is to penetrate major convenience and grocery chains first so that all of our marketing, branding, and advertising has an impact and consumers can easily find our products. Building a brand without proper distribution and merchandising, etc. is kind of like building a car and advertising it’s for sale when you have no road to drive it on. Penetrating the nightclub circuit across the country is definitely part of our plan, but taking market share from the leader takes a lot of money and a lot of time. A lot of strategy and planning, staff, will need to be in place before that happens on a bigger scale. Our core demo is men 16 to 36 and continue to market to the colleges, younger skewing events that connect us with our core demographics, convenience stores, grocery outlets, etc. but we have found women really love our product too.

Question 12. Do you plan on selling to individuals on your website in the future?

Absolutely! We should have our ecommerce functionality in place later this year or early 2011 so that we can drop ship cases to fans all across the country. This will help us to expand our sales base and get out ahead of major distribution so that anyone with an address and a credit card can then enjoy Euphoric Energy.

 

Question 13. What are your feelings on the current controversy concerning mixing energy drinks and alcohol?

Well another good question---Mixing energy drinks and alcohol is something that we all have to decide for ourselves on an individual basis. Good or bad, the practice of using energy drinks as mixers it is a reality of life now in about every nightclub in America since this trend started many years ago with Red Bull and caught on like wild fire. I certainly don’t think people will stop ordering mixers with their alcohol at clubs anytime soon, so we are trying to provide people with a healthier alternative if they are going to do that anyway. Again, right now nightclubs are a very small part of our Euphoric Energy sales and not our main focus right now but perhaps in the future. Our main concern is that people drink responsibly at all times and that means being careful and informed with anything concerning alcohol.

Question 14.Tell all the Energy junkies out there why they should use and support Euphoric energy.  Give us your best sales pitch.

Well, we believe the time has come for something really different and healthier to happen in the energy world and change the industry and what people have had to choose from in the past. Euphoric Energy was created for energy drink fans by energy drink fans in order to create the Future of Energy. We have painstakingly researched the flavor combinations, ingredients, herbs, vitamins, minerals, electrolytes even down to the healthier beet sugar we use in our products. We set out to make a quality energy drink product that provides hours of sustained energy, tastes great and offers a great value on purchase.
