! (Exclamation) energy drink
I saw this drink online and was immediately intrigued. It was in a regular 12oz can and only had a big ! on the front? What was it? I got my hands on a 6pack ASAP so I could ascertain exactly what was up.
Packaging: I have not seen many energy drinks that come in a regular 12 oz can. The can for exclamation is just like the can a coke or other soda might be in. That sets it apart and probably has many good points like you could load up some in a regular coke vending machine. Funny that using a regular size and shape can sets you apart from the pack. The can is Black around the top with the energy ingredients listed around it. The rest of the can is a metallic orange with a pattern that reminds me of a solar flare. There is a big silver and black circle with a big ! right in the middle of it. It grabs your attention and would be something you would stop to examine at a store. I will give them a solid B+ for packaging. The shape and size makes it convenient and the eye catching logo and coloring grab your attention.
Slogans” “Exclamation Needs No Explanation” is the slogan on the can. Nice and catchy. Not to long and it goes well with the symbol for a name It also has the phrase “Live It” on the back side. I will give them a B- for a slogan. It works well with the name but you won’t be walking around saying it.
Taste ect: Not having an idea what the flavor was supposed to be I popped open the can and caught a sweet grapefruit scent. I poured some in a cup and it was very crystal clear with a good amount of carbonation. I took a sip and it definitely was a nice sweet grapefruit. I’d say a white grapefruit flavor with maybe a little lime at the finish. It is a very sweet drink for sure and there is no aftertaste at all. I did not find it thirst quenching but it was delicious. I think the flavor definitely sets it apart from most energy drinks. I was expecting Red Bull clone since so many drinks take that route and I was surprised to find out this one was unique. I will give them a grade of B for flavor. Might be a little sweet for my taste but I will be finishing the 6 pack for sure. Not sure about using as a mixer but I would think it would work well with its sweetness covering the alcohol taste easily.
Kick/Ingredients: So far I am pleasantly surprised by this mysterious drink. Will it get me going and power me through the late night I have ahead? It has D-Ribose, Caffeine, Guarana, Taurine, inositol, Milk Thistle, and Ginseng in amounts not listed. It also has plenty of B Vitamins and 150% RDA of Vitamin C. 180 calories, 41 grams of sugar, 42 grams of carbs and 1 gram of protein. This all combined to jack me up pretty good. I was wired up nicely for over 3 hours and had only a slight crash. I will give it a nice B for kick. It got me going nicely and powered me along through the late night I had.
Web presence: There is a website for exclamation at drinkexclamation.com. The site is minimal but does have ingredients information, a “in the news “section and a buy link. You can only buy online as far as I can tell. I think the site is a work in progress so I will give them a grade of C for now. The site does get the job done.
If you are tired of your usual energy drink and want to try something new I suggest you try ! energy drink. It has a good taste, a good kick, and a nice can. If you have a coke vending machine I’m sure you could load some up in there easily as well. I have to tell you that this drink surprised me all around and deserves a chance to impress you as well.
