5150 Juice

So it is not that often that a product comes along that catches me off guard. 5150 juice is one of those products though. I mean have you ever thought I love “insert favorite drink here” but it has no caffeine in it or very much anyway. Why wait for an energy drink company to come out with a drink that is your favorite flavor when you can just add a crap load of caffeine to anything you like. I was one happy puppy when they sent me some samples to review.
Packaging: Ok so the label is a bit generic on the bottle. They wanted it that way and I think it stands out well. I mean they could have gone with something slick and looked like everyone else. This has a bootleg kind of feel to it like you are buying something you’re not supposed to have. I do like the fonts and the fact they lest the caffeine content right on the front. The syringe container I have does not have a label(still in production) but you have to love it and I think it is very unique. It’s like one of those syringes you give medicine to a child with. You can’t attack a needle to it. I give them a grade of B for packaging
Slogan: “If you can drink it you can add 5150 to it” That is ok or “Crazy Juice”. I think they could do better but these are not bad. Grade C+
Taste: Ok so if you drink this straight it is bitter. That said you are not supposed to do that! This is to be mixed into any drink you like. I mixed mine in a diet Mountain Dew and could notice no taste difference at all. Spicy V8 works, Vodka, Jack Daniels, beer good, chocolate milk check. So as you can see it works with pretty much anything I tried without altering the flavor. I will give it a grade of A for taste. Not that it taste great alone but it taste as good as what you put it in
Kick/Ingredients: Ok so I put it in my diet dew and I used 2 teaspoons out of the bottle. This provides 166 mg caffeine(the syringe provides the same amount). I drank the diet dew down and with the 5150 it hit me like a bullet to the brain. It happened very quickly and lasted me a good 4 hours with no crash. I was somewhat jittery and just full on wired. There are 5 100 mg caffeine servings in each bottle. I could have added the whole bottle to something but that is probably overkill for most situations. 5150 juice contains 500 mg caffeine per bottle along with a good dose of B6 and B12. There are no calories and no sugar. In fact all it contains is otherwise is water, citric acid and sodium benzoate. You can adjust the buzz as suits you. I give it a grade of A+ for kick/ingredients
Web Presence: The site at 5150juice.com is pretty good. It has a ton of good product information including a good faq, comparison to other drinks, a store, recipes, and more. Is it fancy no but it provide what you need. They now have a Facebook,Myspace, and Twitter! B for web presence
Recap:
You know a simple grade really can’t describe how awesome this product is. It is super portable. It has endless possibilities really for use in food like gravy, Jello, salad dressing, queso, salsa, any kind of juice, any kind of alcohol, dairy, coffee, Peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and hell you name it. Really it boggle the mind how many things you could add caffeine to. It is also a great value at 3.99 a bottle. So I have to say get you some asap. Even people who hate the taste of energy drinks will love it when mixed in their favorite thing.
