How long will this take to wear out?

ALR Hypershot Blue Raspberry

Ok so I have been trying to get my hands on these for a while and was finally able to get some from my friends at Rushstop.com.  I’ve enjoyed trying many of the more extreme energy drinks and shots that are often aimed at body builders and the like. They usually provide an awesome kick as well as some unique ingredients. Lets see how these shots from ALRI perform.

Packaging: The usual 2 oz shot bottle with a really nice black label. The label is pretty sparse and looks a little ominous.  You can tell this is serious stuff just from the design. Nothing fun and chipper here. No little fruit images or people running up mountains. Very mysterious. Grade B

Slogans:  “Get intensely hyped” is right on the side of the bottle and is a great slogan. Product specific and just a good slogan. A-

Taste ect.  Ok so I twist off the lid and the scent is not fruity at all but is very vitamin and chemical like. Pouring some in a cup it comes out a very very dark green color(maybe they should have called it green Raspberry). Taking a sip I get a weird chemical taste with a strong sweetness and just barely a hint of raspberry at the finish. There is no bitterness but it is definitely not something you would drink for the taste. I mean if you like chemicals taste wise maybe but for most of us this is not a very good tasting shot.
Grade D for taste

Kick/Ingredients: So I slammed this shot down with a grimace. In like 10 minutes it hit me like a swarm of agitated killer bees on steroids. I started getting bit of tingling in my fingers and arms. Then in 10 more minutes I was tingling everywhere like ants were crawling all over me. Hell even my balls were tingling (and not in a good way). It was freaky as hell and a bit uncomfortable. I was jolted hard by a caffeine rush as well and bouncing off the walls like crazy. This was one of the wildest experiences I have ever had with an energy product. I did some research and discovered Beta-Alanine can cause this tingling in high doses. I have has Beta-Alanine in several other products so I figure the dose in this shot must be higher. This was not a really pleasant experience at all. I was buzzed for a good 4 hours and itchy/tingly for about 2 of those hours. Ingredients per bottle include a whopping 500 mg caffeine, Beta-Alanine, and vitamin C.  You get 5 calories and no carbs or sugars. Grade A for kick/ingredients. It was a strong kick and for sure you won’t be falling asleep(unless the sensation of ants crawling under your skin relaxes you.)

Web presence:  The site at alrindustries.com is actually a pretty good site. It is a bit on the adult side but then that is the image they are going for. There is a lot of content including videos and ingredients info. If you are into hardcore workouts then you will probably enjoy their site. It is very professionally done.  They also have links to all the social media sites out there as well. They got it all covered.  A-

Recap:

Ok so let me lay it out for you.
Pros

Cons

Really if you want an extreme experience and great kick this shot is for you. Just be prepared for the itchy part. The taste is not something you will enjoy and I don’t get the green coloring. I have the 2 other flavor but I will be passing on trying them. I have read that the itchy feeling goes away after repeated use. Now if you will excuse me I have to get back to scratching my junk.
