Sambazon Amazon energy Jungle love

When it comes to organic energy drinks it is usually a love or hate thing. Those that are more inclined towards a super sugar loaded energy drinks usually don’t care for organic energy drinks. Those that want energy combined with nutrition and health benefits love the lower sugar and less sweet taste of organic drinks.  Myself I like all kinds so I look forward to trying this new flavor of Amazon energy drink called Jungle Love.

Packaging: For Jungle love Amazon sticks with there usual 12 oz slim can. The can is black and grey with a jungle foliage pattern on it. Right at the top on the front is the word “organic” in a silver font. In the middle is the Sambazon logo  with it’s amazon chieftain in green and purple. The logo is a bright green and really “Pops” against the dark colored can. Further down is the name “Amazon Energy” in white and then green colored font. Below that is the name “jungle love” in a purple font. Down at the bottom is the slogan and the flavor “Acai Passion” Back has supplement facts. I like the can best of all the Amazon energy cans. The dark color with the green logo and fonts really works well for me.  Grade B

Slogan: It is right on the front of the can. “Pure Positive Energy” is a great slogan for an organic energy drink and I give it a grade of B+

Taste: I pop the can open and pour some in a cup. It is a dense deep purple color with a medium level of carbonation. It has a nice Acai berry scent. I take a sip and up front is that Acai flavor that is followed by some tartness and tea taste. Then at the finish is the coup de grace of a really nice sweet passion fruit flavor. This passion fruit flavor really ties it all together and makes for an awesome finish. The passion flavor keeps this drink from tasting as organic or earthy. I have to say I love this flavor and it was hard not to just chug the whole can down. This drink is not super sweet but the passion fruit makes up for that well. Grade B+ for taste.

Kick/Ingredients: I drank this drink on several occasions and each time it performed very well. I got a nice mid level buzz that did not leave me jittery but did give me great smooth energy and a great mood boost. The energy lasted me a solid 4 or 5 hours with no crash. I have to say it was an enjoyable buzz each time and it got me through some serious fatigue and tiredness I was having at work as well as at home. So what is in Jungle love? Well you have your energy ingredients including 80 mg Caffeine, Guarana, and Yerba mate. Then you have the “Jungle Love herbal blend” including Maca Root, Catuaba, Damiana, and passion flower. Health wise you get 280% dv of Vitamin C, Acai, Acerola juice, and passion fruit juice. It is sweetened with organic evaporated cane juice and comes in at 120 calories, 30 grams of carbs, and 29 grams of sugars. Grade B for kick/ingredients.

Web Presence: The site at sambazon.com/products/energy/ is pretty nice with a ton of content including plenty of product info, a mission statement, store, recipes, and a ton more. It is easy to navigate and fun to poke around to see what Sambazon is all about. They also have a Myspace page and a facebook page. Grade B for web presence. This is a site worth checking out.
