Blast Caffeine powder
So this is one of those really cool and unique products I love. What makes it cool? What makes it unique? Well let’s check it out and see.
Packaging: Ok so it is a powder. Not just any powder but pure caffeine powder. In order to deliver a set amount you need a good design. Thye nailed that one. It is a little tic tac size shaker that allows you to “Tap” on a single serving into whatever food or beverage you want to. The shaker is made of an orange plastic which stands out. The label while not fancy or slick lets you know what it is. “100% Caffeine powder” is bold at the top and on the back are some clear instructions. Grade B for packaging
Slogan: “Gimme a Blast” is on their site. I like it because it incorporates the name of the product and it is short and catchy. Grade B
Taste: So it is meant to be mixed into something. Straight up or in water it is bitter and not good so don’t do that. I tried my blast is several things. In a DR Pepper is worked real well and you could not detect 1 shake of Blast much at all. It does not dissolve well in cold beverages though. Chocolate shake! Blend it in one or in a smoothie and you are great to go. Great used like this in the am or before the gym. In hot chocolate is works great since it is warm and it dissolves. My ultimate was in coffee with some vanilla creamer. Even 3 shakes in a cup of this coffee were not really noticeable. I am just going to give it an NA for taste. Really depends on what you mix it with.
Kick/Ingredients: It is pharmaceutical-grade caffeine. That is it no fillers or anything else. This is as pure as it gets and more pure than that used by drink manufactures who usually use food grade caffeine. As for the buzz it depends on how much you use and how fast you consume it. 1 shake in a large DR Pepper gives you a nice life like a cup of coffee. 3 shakes in my vanilla coffee had my hair standing on end and the rest of me bouncing off the walls. Adjust as you see fit, they recommend using only 1 shake. It is up to you to determine how much you need. Be careful though. Each shake is 100 mg of caffeine so use your head. Grade A
Web Presence: The site at blastcaffeine.com is a pretty good site. It is very functional and it offers a lot of good product info as well as a store. It is laid out well and very easy to navigate. My only complaint is the guy on the front page in the suit leaping in the air. It looks kind of cheesy and really seems out of place with this product. Maybe if he was not in a suit it would work. Grade B
Recap:
So I love this product. Let me tell you why. It is super portable and you can carry the equivalent caffeine of 100 cup of coffee in your pocket. I can really seeing this being handy for military and outdoorsmen/hikers. I like the fact you can mix it in anything from food to drinks(just find what works best taste wise.) The value is the final thing for me. You get a lot of caffeine for under 13 bucks. All this makes for a hard to beat product
