Cocaine energy shot
So it has been quite a while since Cocaine energy was in the news. Now they are back with an energy shot. I remember all the hoopla when the drink came out. In fact in my state it is still illegal to sell cocaine branded energy products. Hence it was not easy for me to get. I did track some down though and am happy to bring the review of it to my readers. Will it be as strong and good as the energy drink? Let us see
Packaging: Totally different direction on the packaging. Not the edgy street drug look at all. This shot is in the typical 2 oz shot bottle. The bottle has a very clinical look to it. Looks like something from the pharmacy. It is a stark white label with the name in red on it. They include the “dosage” on the front. Really this thing rocks. I love the pharmacy look and it clearly shows you the caffeine content to boot. Grade A
Slogan: Sorry guys but I could not find one on the shot or anywhere else. Grade F
Taste: So I twist of the lid and pour out the red liquid inside. It has a nice cherry scent with no medicine or vitamin smell. I take a tiny sip and get a nice sweet cherry taste. It is not cloyingly sweet but is in fact just right. Then I slam the rest of the shot down like you should a shot like this. It goes down smooth and has no bitterness or caffeine taste. I do detect a tingle at the back of my throat like you would with the Cocaine energy drink. It is much milder though in the shot. Overall for a shot this is a pretty tasty one. Add to that the large caffeine content and they have done a nice job here. Grade B+
Kick/Ingredients: So after slamming this shot down it hit me pretty hard. I starting ramping up in about 10 minutes and was full on wired up in 15 minutes. This is not a mild boost of energy with good focus and concentration. This is a rock n roll mosh pit kind of buzz. You are not going to be sitting around after drinking this shot. Really I felt like climbing on top of stuff and jumping off. I had a ton of restless and only mildly jittery energy. This is a great shot for a night on the town for sure either in the club, at a concert, at a rave, ect. Do not however drink this and then go see an acoustic folk show. They really don’t appreciate the mooching and crowd surfing and definitely are not down with the Dougie. I was flying for a good 4 hours with only a mild crash. Each dose of Cocaine energy shot comes with 280 mg of Caffeine, Taurine, Inositol, L-Carnitine, Ribose , and a fair amount of B vitamins. You get this with 0 calories, carbs, and sugar. It is sweetened with sucralose and ace k. Grade A
Web Presence: They have a site at drinkcocaine.com where there are a few things. Not a lot of info but there are some videos , a twitter feed, and a store for the USA and the UK. Not much else but it gets the job done. The do have a Twitter but no Facebook. Grade C

Ok so once again the folks over at Redux have brought it all to the table. Great taste, awesome kick, and attitude. I highly recommend this shot to anyone wanting a blast of potent energy. Once again uses I can see this coming in handy for are partying, concerts, rioting in the streets(burning of cars not encouraged), sports(not including golf), skating, biking, wild sex, ext. Things not to do after a Cocaine energy shot would be pretty much anything that does not manic energy like sleeping, a Sting concert, deer hunting(unless you include doing it only with a knife), or tantric sex. I think you get the point. Now get one of these shots and let me know what you think.
