Coco Lopez Island energy Pina Colada and Coconut

Ok so when I first heard of these I knew I had to get my hands on some. I mean unique flavors in shots are few and far between. You get tired of the typical berry, citrus, orange, ect. To top it off it has a well known brand behind it. I contacted the company and they were happy to get me a few samples.
Packaging: While it might not be a unique as the flavors but it has a nice tropical look to it. It is very colorful but it is a little cluttered. I could stand for the ingredients on the back to be a little bigger font but overall it is a nice package. B-
Slogan: “Xtreme energy with a taste of the islands” Is not bad but the Xtreme part just does not fit with the image and packaging. I think they should drop the word Xtreme and it would be a lot better. Grade B-
Taste:
Kick/Ingredients: So I tried each flavor on separate occasions and both time I felt it worked pretty well. It took only 15 minutes to get a good mid level buzz going. It was smooth with no jitters and lasted about 4 hours with no crash. While it might not have been intense I think it would fit well at work or school with its smooth energy. It has a good ingredients list that includes caffeine(undisclosed amount),Taurine, Ginseng, Guarana, Glucuronolactone, Tyrosine , Green tea, Mucuna Pruriens, heavy doses of B vitamins, and Vitamin C. It comes with 0 calories, carbs, and sugar. It is sweetened with sucralose and Ace K. I’ll give it a grade of C+ for kick/ingredients
Web Presence: The only site at the moment for this shot is at actiondrinks.com. Now this is a pretty cookie cutter of a site but it does provide ingredients info and a store. Not a lot else there. It gets the job done but that is about it. I’ll give it a grade of C for web presence.
Recap:
Well I thought this was a pretty unique shot in some ways and in others it was pretty average. The taste was good (especially the Pina Colada), It provided the expected kick you would get from most shots, and it came in a pretty nice package. The caffeine seemed to be in the usual “cup of coffee” amount. It did provide an impressive amount of vitamins I thought. I think if you are looking for a uniquely flavored shot then you should give it a try.
