Crunk Energy Stix Orange
So here we have another new area that is starting to grow. Ready to eat energy powders. Caffeinated energy pixie stix if you will. No mixing with water, no keeping cold, no bulk. Just a few grams of candy powder filled with sweet sweet caffeine. Crunk is the first big company to release a product like this and judging by my past experience Crunk never does anything half assed.
Packaging: You have a little blister pack with some of the Crunk dot design on it in orange. There is a clear bubble on the front so you can see the 2 tubes of Crunk Stix inside. There is a ton of room on the front to tout the product and its benefits. On the back there is even more space where they can pimp their other products as well. The 3 gram tubes themselves are all Crunk with the pattern and the silver star. I like the easy open tear off top that actually works. The only think I could live without is the big mouth and tongue on the cardboard part. It looks out of place and cheesy and really detracts from the coolness. Grade B
Slogan: “Instant Rush! No Crash” is on the front and it is a pretty good one. It is a great selling point and then on the back you have “Get Crunk” which is just a classic. Great job and a grade of A
Taste: It is only 3 grams of powder so it is less than other energy powder candies I have tried. I was worried about the taste since they have to cover the caffeine and other energy ingredients inside. I tore open the tube to find an orange crystalline powder inside with a nice orange candy scent. I pour it in my mouth and the flavor is just like that of an orange pixie stick. It is sweet orange candy that dissolves quickly leaving on a hint of bitterness after it is all gone. I like the fact that it is not a lot of powder so even if you don’t have anything to wash it down with it does not matter. I really can’t taste any of the energy ingredients(there are a bunch) besides the minor caffeine taste that last only a few seconds after you finish it. Pretty tasty. Grade A- for taste
Kick/Ingredients: After you enjoy this little powder candy expect to be hit hard and fast. This powder goes to work fast. I got a big rush of energy with some jitters. I also got a great mood boost that had me being social and seeking out others to chat with and just having a good time. The buzz was damn solid and it lasted a good 3 hours with no crash. I have to say this was stronger than I expected for such a small powder. Crunk did not just add caffeine either. They hit you with a similar nutraceutical combo as in their drinks. Ingredients are 100 mg caffeine, Ashwadanda, Skull cap, White Willow, Ginseng, Guarana, Ginko Biloba, Milk Thistle, Green tea, and some B vitamins in the 50% rdv range. You this with 10 calories, 3 grams of carbs, and 2 grams of sugars. It is sweetened with Sorbitol and fructose. I’ll give them a B+ for kick/ingredients
Web Presence: The great thing about Crunk online is that crunkenergydrink.com always has info about their new stuff as soon as they are released. This is a brand new item and already there is info up about it. The site as usual is packed with entertainment as well as all the Crunk info you need. There is a store finder, Crunk lifestyle, and a nice ingredients section with some cool info. Don’t miss their top notch MySpace page either. Grade A for web presence. I often just stop by their site to see what is new. Can’t say that about a lot of energy drink web sites. Grade A

Ok so Crunk has thrown down the gauntlet for this area of the energy product market. They have a very small candy powder that delivers a power full kick with great taste. This is the first energy candy powder I have seen that has more than just caffeine in it. These Crunk Stix are super portable and very addictive. So get out there and find some. Time to get Crunk!
