Ok so I get tired of hearing how energy drinks are gonna kill me. Thing is I usually hear this from guys who drink like 10 cup of coffee a day and or weigh a good 50 lbs over what they should. Still I’m always looking for something healthy that deliver energy. I stumbled on this Dragon pearl by accident and I contacted them. It is a new product and they were happy to send me a few samples. Dragon pearl calls itself an Antioxidant Energy Shot. 1 shot equals 3 cups of green tea(the main ingredient) so I think I might have found one of the healthiest energy shots around. Let’s find out.
Packaging: Ok for a healthy energy shot they really bring it. They don’t come out like a 98 lb vegan with a weak package that just says health food store to you. The green plastic 2 oz bottle is wrapped in a cool green fade to black label. There is a super cool logo with an awesome dragon silhouette over a pearl that looks like a moon. Dragon Pearl looks as sharp and aggressive as any shot out there. I think this is a plus because it won’t scare off your average consumer. Grade A-
Slogan: “Green Tea Super power” Is one I found on their website and I like it. It gets the message out about the green tea and the energy. Grade B
Taste: Healthy energy shots and drinks can be scary. I had no idea what to expect. I opened the lid and got a nice tea and grape scent. I poured it into a cup and it comes out a deep dense purple liquid. It is a bit scary looking but the grape scent seems to quell my fears. I take a sip and I get a nice green tea taste followed by a really good purple grape with some hints of blueberry and pomegranate. Surprisingly this drink is damn tasty. The grape seems to really blend well with the super concentrated tea taste and it masks any bitterness. I actually found myself enjoying this taste quite a bit and wished I had a bigger bottle. This is the best tasting healthy shot I have tried to date and it is better than most regular shots as well. Grade A-
Kick/Ingredients: I drank this shot on several occasions and it delivered in a big way. It takes 15 to 20 minutes to really feel it and then the energy washes over you. Weird thing is that it seems these waves of energy keep coming at 15 to 20 minute intervals. These waves of energy made me a bit tingly and were invigorating. The buzz is smooth yet potent. It is one of those focused non jittery buzzes that really allow you to get things done. I was focused and energized with a great level of concentration. This energy last a solid 4 hours with no crash. Totally unique buzz that is great for studying, driving, working, or even playing video games. Dragon Pearl super natural energy is powered by 100 mg caffeine from the green tea(Theine is what people call it when it is in tea) and pure fruit juices including concord grape, pomegranate, blueberry, and Acai. In fact the only other ingredient is citric acid. The tea used is organic mountain grown green tea steeped with pure water. It comes in at 45 calories, 9 grams of sugars, and 11 grams of carbs. I’m giving it a grade of B+ for kick/ ingredients.
Web Presence: The site at supernaturaltea.com is a pretty decent site. No it is not full of extreme sports and hot chicks but it does provide great product info and a store. So this shot delivers in a unique and powerful manner. For a natural health type shot it really is impressive in all areas. The fact that it is good for you and still taste good is a real plus. It even looks cool so no one will think you have to be wearing Birkenstock to be seen with it. I think this is easily one of the top energy shots of the year in my book and I highly suggest you give it a try. Heck I dare anyone to give you greif about this shot being bad for you. You will actually feel you are doing something good for yourself when consuming it.
