Shoot to thrill, play to kill

Hard 8  GEnergy Shot

Ok so here we have another shot from Hard8 beverages. This time it is their G shot. The G stands for green tea, ginseng, Ginko, and guarana. Makes sense to call it G shot then. Lets see if it delivers.

Packaging: So this comes in a 2.4 oz aluminum shot bottle. Love the metal bottle with the plastic resealable lid. The label is nicely designed with mature fonts and good information. It is not cluttered up and is makes for a very professional look. Ingredients including caffeine content are clearly listed on the back label. Grade B

Slogan: “All-Day Energy for Adults” is the company’s overall slogan and as I said before I like it. They are going for the adult market which is pretty big when it comes to shots. Grade B-

Taste:  So I twisted open the lid and got the nice scent of a lemon tea. Pouring it in a cup it comes out a cloudy light brown color. I take a sip and get a really sweet lemon green tea taste. It is very citrusy and somewhat tart. The tea flavor is there but it is mostly muted and in the background. The sweetness makes for no aftertaste or tea bitterness. This is one of the better tasting tea based shot I have tried. Grade B

Kick/Ingredients: So I drank this down on my first night shift sense I knew I pretty much had to stay up at least 21 hours. It hit me in about 15 minutes with a nice smooth energy burst. It did not hit hard but it was really smooth and focused, I was not jittery but it got me moving and doing. Really it was a nice buzz for at work. It lasted about 4 hours with no real crash. Each shot is powered by 120 mg Caffeine, Taurine, Ginseng, Guarana, Ginko Biloba, Inositol, Glucuronolactone, L-Carnitine , Glutamine, and a huge dose of B Vitamins that include 9600% dv for B 12. It comes in at 8 calories, 2 grams of sugar, and 2 grams of carbs. It is sweetened with sugar, Sucralose, and Ace K. Grade B- for kick/ingredients.

Web Presence: The site at Hard8beverage.com Is coming along nicely. It now has all their shots listed along with a little info about each one. I’d like to see more complete ingredients info though.  They also have a Twitter. I’ll give them a grade of C for now

Recap:

Once again Hard8 has impressed me. This shot looks and taste great. It also delivers a great smooth and focused energy that will have you going but not jittery. I am looking forward to trying their other shots soon. I think you should try one if you get the chance.
