Time sure flies when you're all jacked up

Jacked Up Energy Bomb

Somehow I stumbled onto this one. Not sure how but I liked the name so I managed to get a few samples to review. They have 5 flavors but I only have 2 for this review. I am surprised no one had used this name already. Seems like a natural. Will it live up to the name?

Packaging: Typical 2 oz shot bottle. It is wrapped in a white label. There is an interesting grey background that you might miss if you don’t look close. I like the logo on the front and the way “Jacked Up” looks. There is a flavor specific colored lightning bold behind the name.  I like the funny names of the flavors. This is a fun label and I like it. It might not really jump out at you color wise but the logo and name will. Grade B

Slogan: “Get Jacked Up” is on the bottle and it was a no brainer. Of course I want to get jacked up!  Grade B+

Taste:

• Wackedup Watermelon:  I have to say there are not many watermelon shots out there. In fact this might be my first. The liquid has a mild watermelon scent and is a pale pink energy shot color. I take a sip and surprisingly is not overly sweet. I expected jolly rancher watermelon but I got mild watery watermelon. Really though that gives it a more authentic taste. it’s watermelon sweet up front with water finishing it up. It does not make you thirsty. There is no bitterness and only a tad aftertaste(less than most).  I’ll give it a C+
• Outrajus Orange:  This one has a strong orange slice candy scent and orange color. This flavor is a much bolder flavor. It is a sweet candy orange and any bitterness or aftertaste is covered easily. It is very sweet unlike the watermelon. Very tasty for a shot. Grade B

Kick/Ingredients: So after I slammed down the shot each time I got a quick rush of energy. It really helped at work and also at home when I was getting that 2:30 feeling you hear about. I got a nice mid level focused buzz that was not jittery at all. I would put it on par with your 5 hour energy shots as for kick and I think it last a good 5 hours with no crash. I was impressed with the length of the energy boost it gave me. Each shot is powered by Caffeine(typical cup of coffee?), , Taurine, Glucuronolactone,  Tyrosine, L- Phenylalanine, a big dose of B vitamins, and my much liked enzyme blend of Amylase, Protease, Lipase, Cellulase, and Lactase. It comes in at 0 calories, carbs, and sugar. It is sweetened with sucralose. Grade B- for kick/ingredients

Web Presence: The site at jackedupenergy.com is not bad. It is fun if a bit cheesy. It is no professional site but it does have some product info, list of stores that sell, photos, events, and more. They also have a Facebook and a Twitter. Grade B-

Ok so these were pretty damn good. I enjoyed the flavors, they shot itself is fun, and in delivers a better than average kick. I always love the enzyme blend in a shot. It seems to push the buzz to last longer for me so that is a big plus for these shots. If you are a consumer of 5 hour shots and you see these I suggest you give them a try. Break away from the herd and try something for a change. This should bring as little more fun and variety into your life. If you try these let me know what you think.
