Drinkin', drinkin' Jolt all night
Jolt Blue zero carb

Ok so I got my hands on another of the revamped Jolt line up. These are really hard to come by. Not sure why they are not getting a good distribution since I see a lot of people interested in this brand. Lets check this one out.
Packaging: I got the nice big 16 oz can. It is a really nice silver and really it is one of the better of the redesigned cans. The Jolt logo looks really nice like it’s bursting out of the lightning filled sky. The “Zero Carb” is prominently displayed. This can also has the breaking Bad tie in at the bottom. Love the show but this can will be better with this part removed. It takes away from the aggressive look some. Grade B+
Slogan: “Shock Your System” is on the can front and center and it works perfect for a beverage named Jolt. Grade B
Taste: So I pop the top and get a kind of cotton candy scent. I pour some in a cup and it comes out a really unique aquamarine blue color with a light carbonation. I guess the blue is similar to blue cotton candy I take a sip and I get a strong cotton candy flavor with just a hint of raspberry. The raspberry is barely there though and is washed away by the artificial sweetener and cotton candy. It has a kind of weird creaminess to it also. There is no bitterness or aftertaste. I will say this is just not my favorite flavor but it’s not bad. If you like cotton candy then this might be your drink. Grade C+
Kick/ingredients. So I drank this at work around lunch time and I got a pretty good kick in the pants. Jolt hit me like a bolt of lightening and had me really getting my job done and done fast leaving me time to crank up some tunes and power through the next 3 to 4 hours. I’d call this a high mid level buzz that had me singing along with the new monster magnet CD and playing a little air guitar and drums as well. Good thing I work alone since I can not sing and probably looked kind of silly! There was no crash at the end. Per can 186mg caffeine, Taurine, Ginseng, Guarana, and a fair dose of B6. It comes in at 10 calories, 0 grams of carbs, and 0 grams of sugar. It is sweetened with sucralose. Pretty good buzz and I give it a C+
Web presence: The site at joltenergy.com is not what it once was but all things considered it is not bad. It gives you some product info along with a pretty interesting about section. No store at the moment though. They also have a Facebook but it seems to be a little out of date. That is too bad since they seem to have a lot of people interested in getting some Jolt. Grade C for web presence
Recap:
Ok so I am hoping that Jolt can make a comeback. This drink while not my favorite flavor did deliver a really good boost of energy and put me in a fun mood like a good caffeine buzz should. It comes in a real nice can and should be available at a bargain price. If you are lucky enough to find one try it for yourself and let me know what you think.
