Kronik Vengence Low-Carb
On to my second review of the drink line up from the retooled Kronik line up. They have a lot of flavors coming up but for now I only have their “Classic” flavor which is called Vengence. I enjoyed the full sugar version but I an anxious to try their low carb version since I like to watch my sugar intake.
Packaging: They go with the silver can to represent all of their low carb drinks which makes them easy to spot. This one is pretty damn good. I like the barb wire and the jagged green font. As usual Kronik delivers a sharp aggressive package. Grade B
Slogan: Ok so I thought the regular Vengence had an awesome slogan but this one is even better. “Refining your hate without the weight- Vengence; you know is best served cold” Sure it is kind of long but it works so well with the Vengence name and the low carb. Grade A
Taste: Ok so will the low carb taste as good as the regular? I pop the top and get the usual RB clone scent. Pouring some in a cup it comes out caramel brown with a heavy carbonation. I take a sip and I get the apple and white grape with some hints of candy. There is Zero gumminess or after taste here. Honestly this drink does not taste at all like an artificially sweetened drink. It’s damn right delicious. I honestly can say I have not had better low carb classic style energy drink that taste better. They have did one awesome job on this flavor. Someone knows what the hell they are doing over at Kronik. Grade A-
Kick/Ingredients: I drank this so quickly and was sad it was gone. The kick gradually increased over 15 minutes and by 30 minutes I was really going all out. I mean my focus and energy were really top shelf. At my job we always clean out the refrigerator on our last day. This usually entails throwing out a bunch of mysterious leftovers and assorted spoiled items so no one gets food poisoning. I started doing that but I was so jacked up that I found my self taking out shelves and drawers and washing them. I cleaned that thing top to bottom till it was show room clean. Then I cleaned the kitchen counters, lunch room table, floor, and pretty much everything in site. I was brimming with energy and focus but was not jittery. I was jacked up and going like this for a good four hours as I tore through the rest of my work night with a Vengeance. There was no crash at the end either. So the ingredients line up has some different stuff than the full sugar version. Per can you get 150 mg Caffeine, 2000 mg Taurine, 100 mg Ginseng, 100 mg Guarana, 50 mg Ginko Biloba, 50 mg Inositol, 150 mg Glucuronolactone, 50 mg Milk Thistle, Glucosamine, and a good dose of B vitamins along with some vitamin C. Then they added a thermal blend of Grape seed extract, Licorice root, Ginger root extract, L-Carnitine, and Tyrosine. It comes in at 30 calories 5 grams of carbs, and 6 grams of sugar. It is sweetened with Splenda brand Sucralose along with Ace K and Dextrose. Grade B for kick/ingredients.
Web Presence: The site at kronikenergy.com seems to undergoing a transformation and it’s looking pretty good. At the moment it is incomplete but soon I think it will be very good. Man this is the first low carb drink I have had in a long time that blew me away. It is cool looking and fun, taste really great (better than the full sugar version), and delivers a above par kick. Get out there and try this if you can. I can’t wait to try there other flavors. Kronik is a company that is back with a Vengence!
