Screaming, screaming for vengeance

Kronik Vengence

Kronik went through a bit of a rough time recently but they have risen like a phoenix from the ashes. They are out with their new drink called Vengence. Kind of a fitting name I suppose. Will this new drink deliver Vengence to those who doubted them.

Packaging: They stuck with the tried and true with the can and I think that was a good idea. They have been around quite a while so it is easily recognizable to most. It is a nice black can with the barb wire circling the top and bottom and a green barb right in the middle. The font used in the name and the energy part of the label give it a nice aggressive look.  I am curious about the spelling of “Vengence” since it is usually spelled vengeance?   B for packaging

Slogan: This time Kronik went with a cool drink specific slogan “Caution: Vengence is best served cold” Not only is it a slogan but it is a serving suggestion as well. Very cool and funny. Grade A

Taste:  I have no idea what flavor this is supposed to be. I pop the top and right away it is obvious it will be your classic energy drink flavor i.e. a RB clone. Pouring some in a cup it comes out a light caramel color. I take a sip and it has a heavy carbonation. The taste is sweet white grape, apple, and candy. This is a very sweet drink. There is no bad after taste or bitterness to be found. I will say while it is nothing really special it is a classic type energy drink that is done very well. Grade C+

Kick/Ingredients:  I was glad this is a full sugar drink because I had major yard work to do. I drank it done as quick as the carbonation allowed and it got me going in the usual 15 minutes. I mowed, edged, cranked up the radio, swept, pulled weeds, washed the car, and cleaned out the garage some. Kronik Vengence never let me down for at least 4 hours. I felt energized, and was actually enjoying myself in spite of the 90 degree weather. After the 4 hours was up there was a slight crash but nothing to drastic. I would peg this buzz as a notch above average. Kronik Vengence is powered by per can 150 mg Caffeine, 2000 mg Taurine, 100 mg Ginseng, 100 mg Guarana,  50 mg Ginko Biloba,  50 mg Inositol, 150 mg Glucuronolactone, 50 mg Milk Thistle, and  a good dose of B vitamins along with some vitamin C. Then they even throw in some Glucosamine. This comes with 220 calories, 56 grams of sugar, and 54 grams of sugars.  I  give it a grade of B-

Web Presence: The site at kronikenergy.com is still the same as it was before the shake up. The site is well laid out and easy to navigate. It has a nice clean look and feel to it. There is tons of content there like ingredients info, a store, athletes and bands they sponsor, downloads, photos, and more. They even have a Kronik radio you can listen too that plays songs from their bands! All that said it needs to be updated with this new drink which is nowhere to be found on the site. They also have a MySpace.  I’ll give them a grade of B for web presence

Recap:

So I am glad to see Kronik came through. This is just the beginning of the new drinks Kronik is adding to its lineup and that gives me something to look forward to. The Vengence drink comes in a cool can and provides a pretty good kick with a nice ingredients list. If you like the classic energy drink taste then this is one you need to check out. If you see it get some and let me know what you think.
