I'm the Hitman Stand aside

Monster Hitman Energy Shooter

With everyone getting into the shot market some of the biggest news was that Monster was coming out with one. Monster Hitman is probably the most anticipated shot to be released(at least until Red Bull comes out with theirs). I finally got my hands on a Monster Hitman this week so lets get to it.

Packaging: Monster goes along in similar fashion to the Rockstar shot by using a 3 oz black shiny bottle. The bottle is taller and slimmer than your average shot. It has a black screw on lid and a mostly black label. The label is outlined in silver. In the middle of the label is the monster “M” in silver in front of a cross hairs from a rifle scope. Seems like the cross hairs should be in front not behind the “M” to me. The cross hairs are green in color. Below this is the name “Monster” in the usual monster font and “Hitman” in a green font with a bullet hole used for the dot in the letter i. Below that it reads “Energy Shooter” Back has supplement facts. It’s a pretty sharp looking package really and it gets a grade of B+ for packaging

Slogans:  Nothing on the bottle but on their site I saw this “Energy Shot from the Big Gun”. This works pretty well no matter how you say it and I give it a grade of B

Taste ect:  No flavor listed so what would it be? It’s so new I have no idea what to expect. I open the top and the scent is a really sweet energy drink type smell. I pour some in a cup and it comes out a super green color. It reminds me of antifreeze in coloring and it is also very thick and viscous. I take a sip and it is a strawberry apple candy taste to me. Kind of hard to peg the exact taste. It is over the top super sweet. It’s kind of like drinking syrup. I believe this comes from the fact that the main ingredient which is glucose. It is not a bad taste and there is no aftertaste or bitterness. It is just like drinking a concentrate that should be diluted. Still I will give it a grade of B for taste. If you can handle the sickly sweetness and thickness you will probably enjoy this.

Kick/Ingredients: Well I slammed it down quickly for maximum effect In less than 10 minutes I was going full blast. I had a ton of somewhat jittery energy. This is not one of those smooth buzzes but is one of those run around like a chicken with it’s head cut off types of buzz. Very enjoyable I must say. This is a very potent shot and my energy lasted 4 or 5 hours easily with only a moderate crash. The ingredients are 2000 mg of Taurine, 400 mg Ginseng, and 200% of your dv for B2, B3, B6, B12. The rest is hidden in an “energy blend” of Glucose, L-Carnatine, Caffeine, Inositol, Guarana, glucuronalactone, and maltodextrin. That is the usual Monster energy blend. You also have 30 calories, 7 grams of carbs, and 6 grams of sugar. It also contains Sucralose as a sweetener. I will give them a B+ for kick/ingredients. I really hate when they don’t disclose caffeine amounts.

Web presence:  Really what can you say here. Monster is a master of marketing. Image is a major factor so of course you will have one of the biggest energy sites around at monsterenergy.com of course and Google has tons of hits for monster drinks.Even though this is a very new product it was easy to find info on it at their site so that is a big plus. I’ll give them a grade of A- for web presence. Sure it is fancy and loaded with content but I’d like to see more ingredient info. If you are a Monster fan you will love it I’m sure.

Recap:

Overall I have to say this is a real top notch energy shot in a lot of ways. It’s potent, cool looking, and has no bitter taste at all. It is however sickly sweet and syrupy which will probably appeal to their core fans. It is way above average and I say try it for yourself. You will get a big boos of energy for sure. Just make sure you have some water to wash it down with.
