Monster Rehab

Ok so in the world of energy drinks there are big things and then there are giant things. New Redbull flavor? That would be giant since it never happens. New Monster drinks have to be a close second though. The fans of Monster are very dedicated to this brand and eagerly await anything new from Monster. Lucky for me(and much thanks to the reader who sent me this drink) I have in my hand the new Monster Rehab. I see this as Monsters reply to the Rockstar Recovery line. It is a recovery/rehydration drink. You saw it here first.
Packaging: Typical 15.5 oz size Monster can. They change things up a bit going with an all black top to the can. Other than that is is typical Monster with the big M and Monster logo. The yellow explodes out of the black background very nicely with some interesting color details around the edges. One of the better Monster cans I have seen. I give it a solid A-
Slogans: I found 2 slogans. “Rehab the Beast!” and also “Re-Fresh, Re-Hydrate, Re-Store” I like both but the second one is better overall. I appreciate the effort they put into slogans and make them drink specific. Grade A-
Taste ect: So I pop the top and I get a nice lemon scent. Pouring some in a cup it comes out a murky brown liquid with no carbonation. That is right this is a non carbonated monster. Taking a sip I get some really great lemon flavor up front. This is real lemon and taste very natural. Following the not too tart and not too sweet lemon is a minor amount of sweet tea flavor. The tea flavor really hangs in the background and has no tea bitterness. I’d call this a lemonade wit a splash of tea drink. This drink taste very natural and is one of the best lemonade drinks I have tried so far. They really nailed the right sweetness. Grade A-
Kick/Ingredients: So it was early morning and I needed so re hydration and some reviving. I drank this down quickly since it taste great and has no carbonation. It took a little longer than usual for the energy to hit me. When it did hit it was not super strong but it was just right. I had a pretty strong buzz but never quite got to the jittery phase. I did feel refreshed and I think the hydration effect really delivered a well. The combination of caffeine and re hydration really made me feel great. I had a good solid buzz for 4 hours with no crash. So what’s in this drink you ask? It has quite a lot of different stuff that you want find in your typical Monster. Per can there is a 6455 “Rehab energy blen” that consist of Caffeine( I am thinking 160 mg), glucose, black tea extract, concentrated coconut water, Milk Thistle, Quercetin, Guarana, Inositol, Glucuronolactone, L-Carnitine, Acai extract, Goji Berry extract, and Mangosteen extract. Then besides the blend you have Taurine, Ginseng, and some B vitamins. You get all that with 20 calories and 6 grams of sugars and carbs. It is sweetened with sucralose and Ace K. I give it a solid B+ for kick/ingredients. They really put some thought into this product.
Web presence: monsterenergy.com is one of the top 3 energy drink sites out there. Tons to do so if you have not you should check it out. A-
Recap:
Ok so I am not the biggest Monster fan but I have to say they really delivered this time. They put in some great ingredients to Rehab and revitalize you. They could have gone the easy route and just canned a non carbonated energy drink but instead they made a real rehydrating drink that has the right ingredients to deliver. Then they mad a really delicious lemonade flavor that was done just right. Put all that in a nice can and I think they have a winner. Get some!
