NX Nitrous Express Lean and Mean (Mango Citrus)
Ok so here we have something totally new. NX energy is a drink that is promoting Quercetin. This is the same ingredient that FRS uses in their drinks. But where FRS has very low amounts of caffeine NX actually has a standard amount. FRS is awful tasting as well so I am hoping NX taste a lot better.
Packaging: You got to love this one. It is similar to the NOS bottle except that the top is shaped like a lug nut. The bottle is a nice shiny black color and the image of the tricked out car on the front is pretty sharp. I like the logo as well. Over all it is a package that will catch ones eye especially if you are into car racing. I love the fact it is resealable since it is 24 oz. Grade A-
Slogan: “Crash Proof Energy” is all I could find. It’s not bad. I think there is room for some improvement as far as being catchy and aggressive. The look of the product is aggressive and it need a more extreme slogan. Still who likes the crash associated with a lot of energy drinks. I’ll give it a grade of B-
Taste: Ok so I twist off the lid and right away I get a nice grapefruit scent. Pouring some in a cup I am very surprised. It comes out a bright milky yellow color. I have never seen a drink like it! It is a very dense color and it’s hard to describe. I take a sip and I get a lightly sweetened grapefruit that is mixed with a hint of mango. The grapefruit to me is the dominant flavor here with the mango just being a compliment. This drink has a high level of carbonation which I like a lot. There is no bitterness or after taste and despite the unique look of the liquid it is pretty light. Hats off to NX for making a Quercetin that taste good. Grade B
Kick/Ingredients: Well it is 24 oz so I drank it over a period of an hour while I was doing some outside work that involved heavy lifting and working with a shovel. The drink never hit me hard but it did deliver a good mid level boost of jitter free energy. As I sipped the drink while working I was able to stay energized for a solid 5 or 6 hours. I easily got my work done and still felt I had energy to spare. Quercetin is an ingredient that you need to consume on a regular basis to really get the benefit from. It is a powerful antioxidant and there is 750 mg of it in this bottle. Other ingredients include per bottle 240 mg caffeine, 1200% dv for vitamin C, and 150 % dv for B3. You get this with 0 calories or carbs. It is sweetened with sucralose and ace K. I’ll give it a grade of B for kick/ingredients.
Web Presence: The site at nxenergy.com is just a teaser site at the moment but they have big plans. They have hired a top notch design company so expect it to be good. Till thin I’ll give it an grade of NA.

So NX is on the cutting edge with Quercetin. This stuff is fairly new but I expect it to really explode onto the scene soon. FRS was the first but they dropped the ball with an awful drink. Nx picked it up and ran with it. They provide a good tasting drink with ample kick. They then deliver a real wallop of antioxidants. Of course the packaging is great as well. I really think you should give this drink a try. I think you will enjoy the unique taste and look and at the same time you will be doing something good for your health.
