Nuclear Energy powder  all 5 flavors

You know I’d love to meet the guys behind Harcos. Gotta be some fun guys to keep coming up with all these unique energy products.  Some companies just take a theme, make a label, and slap it on a generic product. Not Harcos though. They go the extra mile and make a totally new and well thought out product. From Mana to Blood they have made some cool products that are much more than a novelty. Same with these new Nuclear Energy Powders. I think these will appeal to fans of the Fallout video game series as well as general Post Apocalyptic fans.

Packaging: Each powder comes in a 3 oz resealable plastic test tube. They have these nice little yellow labels with the radiation symbol on it as well as a “warning: contains 90 mg caffeine”  Not a lot else on there. You can see the colored powder through the clear tube. Grade A for packaging.  Really nice looking and cool

Slogan: “Go Nuke Yourself”  You got to admit that is pretty funny and fun to say. Grade A for slogan

Taste:

• Uranium Yellow Cake:  Ok so when you open this tube of yellow powder you are instantly hit with the scent of real yellow cake batter.  Pouring some in my mouth it taste just like yellow cake. Talk about an original flavor. Really it taste like licking the bowl after your mom makes a cake. There is a tiny hint of caffeine bitterness at the end but it is not much.(Update) they have reformulated using microencapsulated caffeine and now there is no caffeine bitterness at all!)Grade A for taste
• Plutonium Pear: This green powder has a nice pear scent. Pouring some in my mouth it has a taste like a pixie stix candy except they don’t make one that is pear flavored like this on. It is very sweet and there is no bitterness you can taste at all. Grade B+
• Radium Raspberry lemonade: This flavor is very sweet with some very tart and tangy raspberry up front with the lemonade not showing itself until it right after the powder has totally dissolved. Not bitterness in this one at all. Just sweet candy powder. Grade B+
• Barium Black Cherry: Very dark purple/black powder with a nice cherry candy scent. I pour some on my tounge and the flavor is a really tart black cherry. I really like the tart cherry finish of this one. This one will turn your tounge black so be aware of that. Grade A-
• Strontium Strawberry: Ok so when I opened this tube there was a really pleasant strawberry scent. Pouring some in my mouth I was shocked. This is one delicious strawberry flavor. It has depth. Wait, it is not depth it is explosive. This is one of the most delicious strawberry flavored produts of any sort that I have ever tried. If you like strawberry you have to try this. There is zero bitterness. Grade A

Kick/Ingredients:  Ok so each time I tried these I got a rapid hit of energy right away. The buzz was quick but it only lasted a few hours. I would put it on par with a good cup of coffee. There was no crash at the end at all. Each tube contains 90 mg caffeine and that is it for energy ingredients. You get that with 100 calories and 8 grams of sugars and carbs. Overall not bad. Grade C+ for kick 

Web Presence: There is a site for these powders at nukeyourself.com that looks pretty cool. I really like the whole nuclear family theme. There is not a whole lot there but there is nutrition facts and a store. There is also the parent site at harcoslabs.com which has a lot more content. They also have a Facebook.  Grade B- for web presence

So this was a really fun product. I love the theme and packaging and the taste was very good. I am still blown away by the yellow cake flavor and the Strawberry. You have to try it yourself. Now that they switched to microencapsulated caffeine these are even better.Really these are a very fun and cool product that taste great. Once again Harcos has brought fun to the energy market. This might not be the strongest energy product out there but it is for sure fun and tasty.
