Rage Inferno Grapefruit Citrus
Well Rage Inferno is back with a new flavor. Grapefruit Citrus is the flavor and it still comes in the uber cool fire extinguisher. All that said will it live up to the Rage name. We all know Rage delivers so let’s see how this one does.
Packaging: So like the original it comes in a 24 oz bottle shaped like a fire extinguisher. This thing stands out even more than the original with its bright yellow bottle and red label. It is super fun with all the imagery on the label and the screw off fire extinguisher cap. Only fault I could find is the lack of the flavor being mentioned on the label. They did a much better molding job on the bottle this time. Grade A
Slogan: “Follow No rules” is their slogan for all their drinks. I was hoping they would have made a new one for this cool design. Grade C
Taste: The lid even though shaped like it is twist off easily (no you can’t spray it like a real extinguisher) I pour some in a cup and it comes out a pale yellow color with a medium high level of carbonation. There is a nice grapefruit scent which tells you the flavor right off. I take a sip and I get a nice tangy grapefruit flavor followed by a hint of citrus tartness. Surprisingly the level of sweetness is not very high and it really makes this drink have a more natural grapefruit taste. It is not gummy or cloying and really is just right on the money. There is no bitterness or aftertaste. Grade B
Kick/Ingredients: So It is a big drink that is supposed to be three 8oz servings. I drank about 2 servings and it really got me going. I had a big blast of jittery energy. I was on Fire! I had a big smile and I was just bouncing off the walls with a full on sugar and caffeine buzz. I had to get up and get going. Unfortunately I had nothing physical to do but I fired up the Ps3 to play a very vigourous game of Red Dead redemption undead nightmare. I was yelling at the tv and really just having a blast. It lasted a good 4 hours followed by a crash. The inferno in this rage comes from Caffeine 375 mg, Taurine 3000 mg, Glucuronolactone 300 mg, and a fair amount of B vitamins. You get all that wit 75 grams of sugar and 300 calories. Keep in mind though that you have to drink the entire 24 ounces to get all that. 1 serving of 8 ounces gets you 125 mg of caffeine and 25 grams of sugar. Grade B

Ok so I actually like this one better than the original. The grapefruit and citrus flavor really work well and is a welcome change from the usual. Then you have a full on buzz that you can take how you want with 3 servings in a bottle. To top it off once you finish it you have a great package to display in your room. If you run a store these would be a great impulse buy I think. Then once people actually try what is inside they are sure to come back for more. Give it a try and let me know what you think.
