Red Bull Blue edition
So when Red Bull finally decides to expand its line up of energy drinks it is major news. They are very conservative and don’t just jump at every new trend in the energy drink market. I think finally they had to do something since all the other major players were coming out with so many new drinks. Of course they had to do it with typical Red Bull style. Lets check out the first of the new flavors Blue(Blue Berry)
Packaging: Surprisingly they changed the graphic design of the can. It is still the typical 8.4 oz can but they really have kicked it up a notch with the design. The blue and silver are very cool and classy. I really like the silver bulls logo up at the top. Overall the design looks like a special edition and is very mature and cool. It is still obviously a Red Bull product but this design is a real improvement over the original I think. Kudos for clearly listing caffeine content on the back of the can Grade A+
Slogan: I found this on the can “The Taste of Blueberry. The effect of Red Bull” add to this the usual “Red Bull gives you wings” and you have some great slogans Grade A
Taste: So I pop the little top and right away I get a nice blueberry scent. Pouring some in a cup it comes out deep purple color with medium carbonation. I take a sip and wow. It has a really nice juicy natural blueberry flavor. It is not candy like but is sweetened just right with just a tiny hint of classic Red Bull flavor coming in at the finish. I can only say if you like Blueberry flavor then you are going to love this one. I hope they make it in larger cans because this stuff taste great! No bitterness or after taste. In fact the delicious blueberry lingers and just makes you want more. Grade A
Kick/Ingredients: Ok so who reading this has not tried a Red Bull already? This drink is exactly the same energy wise so you know what to expect. I got a nice boost of energy with no jitters that lasted me 3 hours with no crash. It is powered by 80 mg caffeine as well as Taurine, inositol, Glucuronolactone, and B vitamins. It comes in at 110 calories with 28 grams of carbs and 27 grams of sugars. It is sweetened with sugar and glucose. Grade B
Web Presence: The site at redbullusa.com is really more about image and extreme sports than anything. In this area they really deliver with a ton of multimedia content and loads of entertainment. Red Bull really promotes themselves as a lifestyle as much as anything. Not only is there extreme sports but there is music as well. Still you will find some product info there especially these new editions which have their own Faq. Grade A

So I have to say I am really impressed. The new cans are awesome, the Blueberry flavor is one of the best if not the best Blueberry drink I have tried, it delivers the typical expected Red Bull energy you have come to expect. Keep an eye out for this Blue edition. If you like Blueberry you are going to love this one.
