Red Bull Energy Shot sugar free
Well the original Red bull shot turned out to be a comforting familiar product we all know and love in a smaller package. But what about those wanting to watch calories or those who must avoid sugar. Don’t fret because the Red bull shot comes in Sugar free as well. I finally got my hands on a few of these and I am glad to be one of the first to review them.
Packaging: The packaging for the Red Bull sugar free shot is the same mostly as the regular red bull energy shot. It is a nice clear hard plastic bottle with the familiar label that looks just like a Red Bull sugar free energy drink. The bottle is wrapped in a silver and light blue label. The label has the familiar Red Bull logo in the middle followed by the phrase “Sugarfree Shot. At the bottom it reads “With taurine/Vitalizes mind and body” Back has supplement facts. This is a totally unique bottle and you will recognize it instantly since it looks like a miniature Red bull energy drink. The entire package screams of quality with a nice screw on lid with an inner seal underneath it. They did a great job. Grade A- for packaging
Slogan: “Red Bull gives you wings” or “Vitalizes Mind and body”. Take tour pick since both are good. Really the Red bull gives you wings slogan is probably the most recognized slogan in the energy drink market. B+ for slogan
Taste: So the original Red Bull shot tasted like a non carbonated Red Bull. This Sugar free shot is really no different. You have your caramel colored liquid with the classic energy drink scent. The taste is that of apples and white grape with some vanilla/caramel. They were judicious with the artificial sweetener and it is only mildly sweet and not the consistency is kind of watery. This ads up to make it very slamable which is a good thing for a shot. To put it simply you are going to love this shot if you love Red Bull. No aftertaste is to be found either. Grade B+ for taste. It is not quite as good as the regular red Bull energy Shot but it is a lot better than most.
Kick/Ingredients: Well I drank this shot on a couple of occasions and each time it performed as expected. It came in handy after lunch at work after a night where I did not get near enough sleep and did not think I could make it through another meeting. It also came in handy on a night where I was tired from haven gotten up early for work and was feeling like I was going to have to cut the party short. Both time my level of energy increased pretty quickly to a mid level buzz with no jitters. I was dragged out of my haze and got a good 4 to 5 hours of energy. That energy allowed me to stay awake at my meeting and on the second occasion continue enjoying my night out . The ingredients are pretty much an exact match for an 8.4 oz Red Bull. 80 mg Caffeine, 1000 mg Taurine, Inositol, Glucuronolactone, and B vitamins. All the amounts are the same. You get only 2 calories and no carbs or sugars. It is sweetened with a mix of Sucralose, Ace K, and Aspetame. I give this shot a grade of B for kick/ingredients.
Web Presence: Being that these are not officially out the site at redbullusa.com has just a bit of info on the new shot. Of course it is still a great site and you should visit it just for all of the multimedia content. Sure there is ingredients info and such but the amount of multimedia content raises this site to the top just for its entertainment value. Even if you hate Red Bull you need to visit this site. Grade A

Just like the original Red Bull shot you know going in what you are going to get. No surprises here just a top quality familiar energy shot. I predict these will be flying off the shelves as soon as they get full distribution going. There is just something about the “Original” that draws people in. Red Bull is the energy product that all others are compared to. You know the buzz and you know the taste. Now it comes in a smaller more portable product. I think 5 Hour has to be on its toes now. I can see this as a Coke vs Pepsi kind of battle for the king of the energy Shot market. So grab a few of these when you see them because as soon as your friends see you have one, they are going to want one too. It is Red Bull after all.
