Blame it upon a rush of blood to the head
Redline Power Rush Exotic Fruit

Ok for my second Redline Rush shot review I went with the original. Exotic Fruit which is the first one released I believe and it is also the strongest with about 25 mg mg more of caffeine. I’m not sure why the others have less. I know the saying is “less is more” but as the edjunkie I believe “More is More”
Packaging: Redline Power Rush Exotic fruit comes in the same 2.5 oz plastic bottle. The bottle is the typical shape but is fatter and taller and holds 2.5 ounces. The plastic bottle is shrink wrapped in a dark blue/purple label. On the lid is an image of white grapes, cherries, strawberries, black berries and more fruits. The lid also has the flavor “Exotic Fruit” in a white and red font. On the top of the bottle it reads in yellow “Contains 2 servings”. At the top of the front is the name “Redline Power Rush” in a white font with a red outline. This is followed by a red oval with the phrase “7-Hour energy boost” in it. Towards the bottom is a bullet list of key benefits. Around the bottom is a larger image of the assorted fruits that look pretty damn good and tasty. The back has supplement facts and the website address. B+ for packaging. Man that fruit looks tasty!
Slogan: “7 Hour energy Boost” kind of qualifies as a slogan. It works ok but really is not very catchy. It does get the message out that it last longer than 5 hours. Grade B- for slogan.
Taste: I open the lid and get the scent of mixed berries with cherries and maybe a tad bit of vitamin smell. I pour some in a cup and it is a reddish orange colored liquid. I take a sip and it is a nice mixed berry with some white grape followed by some sourness. It is not super sweet. The initial good taste fades into a bit of bitterness at the finish. I think this small bit of vitamin/bitterness is why on latter flavors they dialed the caffeine down a bit. Not bad at all really. I give it a grade of B for flavor
Kick/Ingredients: I slammed this puppy down ignoring the 2 servings it is supposed to be and waited in anticipation. I did not wait long. I was slammed with massive energy within 5 minutes or less. I was suddenly going full bore and talking excitedly to anyone I came across. This my friends is what it’s all about if you’re an edjunkie. This is not for sitting around doing some paper work or driving the kids to school. This kind of energy is for heavy lifting, contact sports, running, or just about anything physical. I was blazing my azz off for a good 6+ hours and had to avoid my boss at work since he has banned us from drinking Redline at work. He claimed we looked demented after drinking it and it scared him lol. Thing is I got all my work done and then did some more. All the while I was jamming to some Unearth and other assorted heavy music. I’m getting pumped just thinking about it. There was really no crash to speak of either. Key ingredients are 350 mg caffeine, N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine, Beta Alanine, DL-Phenylalanine, L-Phenylalanine, Plenty of B vitamins and also 100% of your vitamin C. Not your typical energy ingredients. Grade A+ for kick!
Web Presence: The redline website at redlinerush.com is pretty good. They have plenty of information on products and ingredients, Testimonials, Videos, A FAQ, and a where to buy section. It’s a cool looking flash based site that will appeal to the consumer who would be buying Redline Rush. Grade B+ for web presence. They also have a Myspace.. Worth checking out and adding to your friends.
Recap:
This Redline Rush Exotic fruit might not taste as good as the other flavors but the extra Caffeine is a fair trade off. It is just enough to put it a notch above the other flavors. Now if you’re not used to this kind of caffeine then I suggest you drink only half. If you drink only half it is a good bargain as well. If you an edjunkie like me though I say go for it. It is one of those rare shots that take it to the next level.
