WSOP Energy Shot. 7 flavors
Ok so it is getting harder and harder to separate yourself from the pack when it comes to energy shots. You can go for unique packaging or unique ingredients. Here I have a product that does both and then to top it off they hedge their bet by offering 8 different flavors! One of these is a cola flavored shot which is a first.
Packaging: Ok so how can you not like this package? It looks like a stack of poker chips. I like how the wrap over the lid even makes it look like a poker chip. The front is a bit cluttered with some contest info but otherwise this package is awesome. They list the key points (focus and Energy) on the front and even include caffeine amount clearly on the back. Heck just having these sitting around draws a lot of attention. Grade A for packaging.
Slogan: Could not really find one. Man this has some possibilities. Grade F
Taste: Ok so I have 7 of the 8 flavors. I’ll give a short rundown on each. I will say that they all taste foremost like your typical energy shot (original 5 hour). They add something to each flavor with some being bolder and others just being a hint. These are all lightly sweet.
Ok so overall I loved 2 of these and the other were better than average. I think if they maybe kicked up the flavoring a bit in the weaker ones they would be even better.
Kick/ingredients. So it took me a week to try all these flavors. I had a good chance to get a real feel for the energy and focus of these shots. I always gat a really great burst of non jittery energy when I had one of these shots. It was strong but the great part was the focus and clarity. These shots made you alert and able to really concentrate on any task. They also put me in a great mood. All of this would be great at the poker table but it works just as well at the office, school, playing video games, staying alert while watching lame ass PowerPoint presentations, having 8 hour tantric sex, or what ever you need to stay awake and focus on. I always got a good 4 to 5 hours of strong energy and focus with no crash with these shots. So what powers these shots you ask? 150 mg caffeine, Taurine, Ginseng, Inositol, Glucuronolactone, L-Carnitine Tyrosine , L- Phenylalanine, Milk Thistle, plenty of B vitamins, and Citicoline(improves mental focus). You get this with 10 calories, 2 grams of carbs, and no sugar. It is sweetened with sucralose. Grade B for kick/ingredients
Web presence: They have a site at wsopenergy.com but it is pretty much just a contest page. You can win a seat at the 2011 World Series of Poker though by entering. Still I wish they had more information on the shot and its ingredients. They also have a Facebook and Twitter but they are not very active. Grade C for web presence

Wow so these thing look awesome. But they don’t stop there. They come in a huge variety of flavors, taste good, and deliver a really strong focused energy. I think with a little fine tuning of some of the flavors and improved web presence this shot could be a winner. They might not be pocket aces but they are at least pocket kings. I say even if you don’t play poker this is a shot you need to try. It will help you in many situations. At least try the cola flavor. That was an interesting shot. The same company also makes energy mixers for bars so I will be trying to get some of those and let you know if they are as good.
