Xyience X shot energy shot
Ok a couple of weeks ago I received some product from the folks at Xyience. Of course I was very happy with this. I am a UFC fan so I am very aware of Xyience products. They were on shaky ground a while back but it seems they were saved by the bell and now have come out swinging with some new products. The first one I wanted to try was their X shot.
Packaging: Slick shiny 3 oz plastic bottle. I like these much better than the typical white plastic shot bottles. The UFC logo is featured prominently on the front as well as on top of the lid which is a big selling point I think. I love the Xyience bar code logo and it is featured on the front and the side. It gives is an edgy futuristic feel. Overall it is a really nice job. Grade B
Slogan: “Caution may cause extreme energy rush” is right on the bottle in 2 different places. Catchy? No. Does it get the message across that this is a strong energy shot? Yes. Grade B
Taste: I open the top and the scent is a nice cranberry scent. Pouring some in a cup it comes out a cranberry red color. I take a sip and I get a nice smooth cranberry juice flavor with some mild raspberry at the finish. This shot is not overly sweet and reminds me a lot of your typical cranberry juice. It taste pretty natural and has only a tiny bit of energy ingredients aftertaste. Really you can drink this and not need a chaser to wash away the bitterness or artificial sweetener taste since there is really none of those present. Good job on making this shot taste real. Grade B
Kick/Ingredients: So I had several so I was able to really try this shot out more than one time. Each time I tried the shot I was surprised. I was expecting to have my head blown off like taking a knee to the face by the “Prodigy”. Instead I got a really nice strong buzz with no jitters. It was strong but it was in for all 3 rounds. This shot really delivered some long lasting strong energy that went 5 hours with no crash. Instead of a knock out in the first round it was more like going the distance and winning a unanimous decision. I really enjoyed this shot because it really allowed me to finish whatever I was doing with plenty of energy and focus to spare. Sure some shots provide 5 hours of energy but few maintain a high level for the entire time. X shot delivers in this way. Ingredients include Caffeine(I thing around 200mg), Taurine, Ginseng, Guarana, Inositol, Glucuronolactone, L-Carnitine , and some ok levels of B vitamins. DV. There are 0 calories, 2 grams of carbs, and no sugar. It is sweetened with sucralose and Ace K. Grade B
Web Presence: The site at xyience.com is top notch. You will find plenty of product info, tons of MMA and UFC info, a store, events, and more. Really this is one of the better sites I have seen in a while. This is a site you need to check out for sure. Grade A
Recap:
Ok so this is a pretty well rounded energy shot scoring above average across the board. It looks good, taste good, and provides a nice strong and long kick. I can without a doubt say this shot is a contender. If you get a chance you should give this one a try especially if you’re looking for long lasting consistent energy.
