ABB Speedshot Orange Ice
This is my first review of what I call Extreme energy drinks. So I looked around and could find no reviews of this drink. Keep in mind this is no regular energy drink. This is an extreme drink. You drink this to work out or do some physical exercise. Not a party drink or one for your all night study. This one is too intense. You will only find this in a GNC or other vitamin shop. That is where it belongs!
Packaging: Abb Speedshot comes in a 8.5oz thick aluminum bottle with a plastic lid. I love these types of bottles as they keep your drink super cold. The bottle is shiny silver with an orange dot fad pattern on it. It says Speed Shot in white letters vertical on the front with the ABB logo above and Concentrated Energy supplement below. The ABB logo is a muscle man with an eagle head and wings. There is ingredients and a warning on the back but the warning is in tiny print and hard to read. I will give them a B+ for packaging because it looks sharp, stays cold, and fits in your hand well.
Slogans: No real slogan that I can find anywhere on the bottle or website. They should have one since this type of drink deserves one.. The get a grade of F for slogan
Taste ect: Well you don’t really expect an extreme energy drink to taste great do you? You would be correct this time. They try to cover up the many energy ingredients with a lot of sucralose. It does taste super sweet and orange candy like up front but the finish is bitter. I give it a D for taste. I’ve had worse
Kick/Ingredients: Well this is where this drink shines. It says start out with ½ bottle to determine tolerance. I am the edjunkie though so I drink the whole thing(you should start with half). They don’t tell you how much caffeine is in it because it is in energy blend. 900 mg of ABBs proprietary THERMOTACH blend of performance accelerants including Caffeine, Evodia, Yerba mate, Yohimbe, Gurana, and DL- Phenylalanine. Not your typical ingredients for sure. It only has 5 calories though and a bunch of vitamin C. I drank this to get me started back on my running and I was easily out the door and going. I had to make myself slow down. Let me tell you this is some wicked evil energy. I felt like a psycho! I was still jacked up 4 hours later! I give this one a grade of A for kick
Web presence: They have a site at www.americanbodybuilding.com that covers the basics including nutrition information, a store, an events page, and a bunch of body builder pictures and flash video. Very little info on the rest of the internet though. I will still give it a grade of C though. Not my cup of tea but a nice professional site that is laid out well
Recap:
This lived up to the extreme energy drink tag I gave it. It taste bad but kicks really hard. Don’t drink this in a regular setting though because it makes you a little psycho. If your planning on hitting the gym or doing some serious exercise this could be for you. If you’re not scared of the psycho energy and the extreme ingredients give it a try
