Amp Energy Juice  Orange

Ok so a while back I was contacted about reviewing some new Amp Juice drinks. I was surprised since I have not always been a big fan of Amp drinks in my reviews of them. I am expecting them any day now but in the mean time I found a bottle and went ahead and bought it so I could get you a review of it ASAP. I am hoping maybe Amp can redeem itself especially after that awful Amp energy shot. It is 100% juice so I think not even Amp can mess that up.

Packaging: Well right off the bat I am impressed. They went with a 12 oz plastic bottle. Really this is perfect when it comes to juice. I mean Juice should come in plastic or glass bottles really. That is what people are used to seeing juice in. Juice in a can is just not something that is as familiar to most and not really that appealing. It’s a pretty nice design and label that works well with a juice drink. Caffeine content is even listed on the back. Grade B+ for packaging

Slogans:   Nothing on the bottle but the site had this“Consider This Your Wakeup Call”. That my friends is the way to do a slogan. I mean it is a caffeinated orange juice and that is a great way to start the day. Grade A- for slogan

Taste ect.  So I skipped my morning coffee to go with this new drink. I open the bottle and it smells like any other orange juice. Pouring some in a cup it comes out a dense orange juice color with some pulp in it. You heard me there is actual orange pulp in it. There is no carbonation. I take a sip and it has a nice orange juice flavor. It is not a really heavy OJ flavor because it is tempered with some white grape flavor which comes in after the initial OJ taste. Then the after taste is all OJ(when I say OJ I mean Orange Juice not OJ Simpson which would not be a good after taste). Really over all I have to say it taste just like a juice blend should. It is pretty natural tasting and I am happy with that. I’ll give it a grade of B for taste. It is a low acid OJ/white grape blend that is good.

Kick/Ingredients: So I needed my caffeine right away since I was just waking up so I drank it down pretty fast. I’d say in 15 minutes I was feeling very awake and my day was off to a rolling start. I was talkative as I rolled into work and in general had a good buzz going. It was not a jittery buzz but was just under that level and was probably one of the best kicks I have gotten from an Amp product. My alertness lasted a solid 4 hours with a slight crash. Amp juice is powered by 120 mg caffeine, Taurine, Ginseng, Guarana, and some decent amounts of B vitamins. Then you get 100% of your vitamin C, along with some vitamin E and some calcium and magnesium. All of this comes with 190 calories, 47 grams of carbs, and 41 grams of sugars. Grade B for kick/ingredients

Web presence:  The site at ampenergy.com is not bad. It offers a lot of content on sports like racing and snowboarding. It also has a store locator and some ingredients info. It is not as good as I remember it being in the past but it is still a nice flash site. They also have a Facebook and a Twitter.  Grade B for web presence

Recap:

Ok so I think Amp has redeemed itself some in my eyes. I love the juice bottle and the taste is very nice. This time even the kick/ingredients were up to snuff. I will have to say if you are not a fan of Amp you should give them another chance.  If you already are an Amp fan then for sure you should be looking for this drink. I think that this drink is great in the morning and I also think it would make a great mixer if you are into that kind of thing. I’m looking forward to trying the berry flavor as soon as I get my samples.
