Arizona really feels alright

Arizona Caution Low Carb

Arizona makes a full line up of energy drinks. Most of them are tea based which is their area of expertise. The Arizona Caution line is different though. The Caution drinks are juice flavored and have no tea. Let’s check out the low Carb version

Packaging: Start out with you typical 8.3 oz slim can. The can is white with a diagonal black and white stripped pattern on most of it. At the top is a red oval with “Caution” printed in it. In the middle is a big black circle that is black, gold, and green. It the circle it reads “Arizona Energy Drink” and in the middle of the circle is a + with a red RX over it. At the very bottom is “Low Carb Performance” in a red font.  The back has nutrition facts.  I give this a grade of C. It has the RX which means medicine to most in the middle and the caution at the top but it just does not jump out at me.

Slogan: Well I tried to find one but could not on the can or the site. Grade F

Taste: Popping the top I get a sweet peach kind of scent. Pouring some in a cup it comes out with medium carbonation and it is a light orange color that is kind of juice like. I take a sip and I get a nice mix of pear and peach flavor and a bit of mango at the finish. It is not very sweet though and not as juicy tasting as the original Caution. Still it is pretty tasty and a change from the usual RB clone flavor of most. There was just a tiny bit of after taste. I will give it a solid C+ for taste. You sacrifice some flavor for the low carbs but it is a lot better than some drinks.

Kick/Ingredients:  Ok so it is midnight and I get off of work at 5am. I am really starting to drag though and I need a boost to get me through but not keep me up till noon or something. I drank this can down and in 15 minutes or so I was alert and feeling good. I was not jittery but I had plenty of energy and had a hard time sitting still for long. I easily cruised into 4 am with no crash. My energy tapered down so that by the time I got home I was ready to relax and get some sleep. This little can provides 100 mg caffeine, 1000 mg Taurine, 250 mg D-Ribose, 100 mg L-Carnitine, 100 mg Ginseng, 100 mg Inositol, 100 mg Guarana, 100 mg Glucucuronolactone, 35 mg mg Milk Thistle, Plenty of B vitamins, and 100% dv of vitamin C.  That is a pretty good line up ant it comes in at only 10 calories and 3 grams of carbs and sugar. It is sweetened with Splenda and Honey and has 3% juice as well. It was a smooth buzz that allowed me to make it until shift change. I think the 8.3 oz size was the perfect fit. They make a 16 oz but it would have been too much. Grade B- for kick/ingredients.

Web Presence: drinkarizona.com is a really nice flash site and it is easy to navigate and find all the info you want. They make a lot of products but I was still able to find the info on this energy drink quickly and with little effort. There are plenty of sections like Product info, Health and fitness, about, Promos, a store, and more.  Really as far as looks go this is a top notch site. Maybe not loads of fun or exciting but  just nice looking eye candy.  Grade B-

Recap:

You can usually find these for 99 cents and that my friends is a steal for what you get. You get a good tasting drink with low carbs and an above average kick. If you’re a Red Bull drinker this would make a great change of pace for you and save you a little cash as well. With the juice and vitamins it is also better for you than your average ed as well.
