Baboom energy spray

Ok 1 last alternative energy product and then I am done for a while. For this one I am trying an energy spray. I have tried one before (Primer) and it was great so I am curious to see if this new energy spray will be as good.
Packaging: Well Baboom starts it off right with a really cool package. It is a red plastic tube that looks like dynamite. The tube has “Baboom energy spray” written across it in a big funky yellow font. At the top is an image of a little devil character saying “Instant and sustaining energy”. On the back are nutrition facts. But wait there is more. Take of the black plastic lid and inside the tube is a big fat pump spray bottle. The bottle is red with the name on it just like the tube. I was not expecting such a large spray bottle. It is quite solid and hefty. It would be a little bulky to carry in your pocket though. Grade B+ for packaging. Looks great but loses some points for being so bulky.
Slogan: Best I could find was “Instant and sustaining energy”. Not really much of a slogan but I guess it will have to do. This is another product that has potential for a good slogan. Grade C
Taste: The last spray I tried was successful at covering the energy ingredients taste by using a strong mint flavor. Baboom however is listed as Watermelon/Orange. I am curious to see it this flavor will be strong enough. I spray 5 sprays in my mouth as directed. The taste is kind of minty and tingly on the tongue at first but then the orange kicks in followed by just a hint of watermelon flavor. There is a minor bit of bitterness but not a lot. It leaves your tongue with a minor burning feeling that does not hurt but does feel a bit strange. Overall not a bad taste though and I give it a solid C for taste
Kick/Ingredients: So after taking my 5 sprays I got a quick mild burst of energy and I was thinking this was going to be great. Unfortunately it faded in 15 minutes or so. The boost was minor and very short lived. It did hit quickly but really was just too short lived. So what is in this stuff? Glucose, Glycerin, Caffeine and Taurine. Amounts are not listed anywhere. I guess the glucose might fuel you up some and this is supposed to be a fast acting formula but It seems to be lacking in the caffeine and other energy ingredients department. There is really not any B vitamins to speak of either. I give them a grade of D for kick/ingredients
Web Presence: They do have a site at baboomenergyspray.com but there is not much there. It looks ok but you won’t find much product information. Pretty much all you are going to get are some links and a place to order Baboom. Grade C- for web presence.
Recap:
I am afraid Baboom was a bit of a letdown for me. The packaging was bold and energetic yet the product just did not deliver. One of the better things about energy sprays is their portability. This one was a bit bulky to carry in my front pocket. I really wanted to like this product but it just did not deliver the kick I needed and it made my tongue feel funny. I wish I knew how much of each ingredient is in this spray but I could not find out. For a little more info I suggest you read an interview with the company over on examiner.com. It is an interesting read and adds some insight into what this product is all about.
