Bad Boy Low-Carb energy drink

I tried a couple of the energy shots from Bad Boy and they were ok so I thought I would move on to try their drinks. I’m starting off with the Low Carb version since I usually prefer sugar free drinks. Will the Bad Boy drinks come out better than their shots?
Packaging: Bad Boy Low Carb comes out swinging with a 16 oz aluminum can that is all white. At the top of the can is a little strip of black and red. Dominating the middle of the can is a huge angry face. It’s a crude drawing but I think it works well and it is the Bad Boy logo for all their products. Below the face is “Low Carb” in a rough red font followed by “Bad Boy” in a big black font then followed by “Power Drink” in the red font. Very bottom has slogan. The entire label appears twice on the can and supplement facts are on the back. Not a bad looking can but not really one that stands out. Looks a tad bit unprofessional to me. I will give them a grade of C for packaging.
Slogan: “Energy for the body and mind” is right there on the can and on the website you have “Liquid attitude”. Both are pretty good. I think they should put the “Liquid Attitude “on the can though since it is better. I give them a solid B for slogans
Taste: I pop the top and get a scent of raspberry and RB clone for a good start. I pour some in a coup and it comes out a caramel gold color with very heavy carbonation that foams up. I take a sip and it has a nice dry flavor without a whole lot of sweetness. It is a raspberry flavor with a hint of the usual apple/white grape of RB clones. There is not aftertaste and no gumminess to speak of. It is great chilled down cold and pretty refreshing since it is not too sweet. I like that they did not over do the artificial sweeteners. I think it a pretty good flavor that is neither generic nor really exciting. I will give them a grade of B- for flavor.
Kick/Ingredients: I drank this with my lunch since I like a good carbonated drink with my meal and it worked well. Usually after lunch you hit that afternoon lull but that never happened. I was pretty energized and getting more done than I usually do at this time of the day. I plowed through work and was very talkative with a slight amount of jitters. The buzz lasted me a good 4 hours and there was no crash even on the slow drive home after work. Bad Boy low-Carb is juiced up by Caffeine 166 mg, Taurine 2000 mg, Glucuronolactone 1152 mg, Inositol 96 mg, Maltodextrin 40 mg, and 100% dv of your typical B vitamins. It comes in at 20 calories, 1 gram of carbs, and 0 grams of sugar. It is sweetened by Ace K and sucralose. It is an above average buzz in several ways and a little below in ingredients. I give it a grade of B- for kick/ingredients
Web Presence: The site at badboydrinks.com is a pretty professional site that is easy to navigate and has a lot to look at. It’s not super flashy and is easy to look at. You’ll find sections such as Products, News, Gallery, Sports, Available at, and more. You will find nutritional info but is the same as on the can. They don’t have a store but they have links where to buy their products. They sponsor several athletes and have info on them there as well. I would like to see a little more ingredients info but otherwise a nice if somewhat plain site. Grade B- for web presence
Recap:
You know this turned out better than I expected. The can might not be my cup of tea but the product inside is pretty good. I enjoyed the flavor with the heavy carbonation and the light sweetness. The kick was plenty enough to get me going and keep me going for a good bit with no crash. I think when you are looking at the selection of Low Carb energy drinks next time your out you should grab one of these and give it a try. I don’t think you will regret the decision and will find that this drink is better than a lot of the other choices you might have made.
