Blood Energy Potion

Well I don’t remember the last time an energy product got so much attention in the press and online. Then again is it not too often a product this unique or controversial comes out. I am happy to be the first major energy site to review it. You know the hard part was coming up with some lyric for the review title. There were so many choices. Anyway turn down the lights and break out the silver cross(unless you are a vampire) and let’s get on with this review.
Packaging: Look at the photo. Really is there much needed to be said. It’s a bag of blood. 3.4 oz so it is not a full pint or anything (sorry to all you really hungry vampires). It look pretty similar to the real thing and has a few nice touches like some bloody fingerprints and some cool directions. It has a twist off lid you can reseal. Really this is genius packaging for this product. Grade A+
Slogan: Sadly there is not really one on the bag. On the site there are some cool ideas like “Being Undead doesn’t mean you have to stop living” is my favorite. Not really a slogan but it could be. Grade C-
Taste: Ok so I kept my blood in the fridge because I thought it would be that way if you got a real bag of blood. I twisted off the top and got a nice fruit punch/strawberry smell. Pouring some in a shot glass (it is a big shot) it is really red and viscous. I take a drink and it has a nice mildly sweet strawberry punch flavor with a hint of chalkiness at the finish. I think the protein and iron contribute to this finish. It is not bad though just different. There is no bitterness at all and it is sweetened just right though. Grade B for taste
Kick/Ingredients: Ok so it took me about 3 shots to get it all down. In 15 minutes or so I had a fairly good buzz going. It was on par with your average shot. There were no jitters. It was a smooth buzz and I think it would come in handy while cruising late at night for Goth chicks or dudes. I mean that Goth music can put you to sleep when it’s 3 am and you’d miss out on that late night snack. Really though the buzz last a solid 4 hours with no real crash. Blood energy potion is powered by red and white blood cells, Plasma 80 mg caffeine, Glucuronolactone, L-Phenylalanine, Tyrosine, DL-Phenylalanine, Glucose, and an enzyme blend of Amylase, Protease, Lipase, Cellulase, and Lactase. You also get 4 grams of protein and 55% dv for Iron! There are 25 calories and 7 grams of carbs and sugars. I’ll give it a C+ for kick/ingredients. It’s got the whole blood nutrition going for it but it is not as strong kick wise as their Mana shots.
Web Presence: livingwithbloodlust.com just flat out rocks. It is one of the most fun sites I have ever visited for an energy product. I’m not going to go all into except to say check it out now for all the campy vampire fun you can stand. Great job putting together the awesome fun site guys. Grade A+ They have a facebook as well.
Recap:

Ok this is a really fun product. It will be fun at parties and gatherings.
Pros
Cons
All things aside this is a fun product and decent energy shot. Harcos continues to bring fun and excitement to the energy product industry. I can’t wait to see what they do next. Grab some now because it’s the most fun you can have without actually biting someone’s neck.
