Nobody Better Lay A Finger
Butterfinger Buzz

The last time I tried a caffeinated candy bar it was the Snickers Charged and I was not impressed with the kick or the taste. Still I was happy to see this new Butterfinger Buzz though. I am hoping it taste like a regular Butterfinger. I mean if your going to eat a Butterfinger might as well get one loaded with the good stuff.
Packaging: Butterfinger Buzz comes in a plastic wrapper and is “King Size”. The wrapper is orange and yellow. On the front you have the usual blue Butterfinger logo and then they add a huge “Buzz” right after it in Orange font. Above the word buzz it reads” limited edition” and below the logo it reads “With as much caffeine as the leading energy drink” which I would think means as much as an 8oz Redbull. The back has nutrition info. I will give them a B- for packaging. I think the word Buzz in a big font grabs your attention and then you see the phrase about how it is as strong as an energy drink. You know this is something new.
Slogan: Nothing on the package but on the website you have “Get your Buzz on”. That is how you do it people. The slogan ties in with the name of the product as well as lets you know you’re going to get some kick out of it. Grade A for slogan
Taste: I like Butterfinger candy bars and always have. I open the pack and take out one of the pieces. This package has 2 pieces that are each around 3 inches long. It smells like chocolate mostly. I take a bite and it is exactly like a regular Butterfinger candy bar. Crispy crunchy peanut butter center covered in chocolate. The consistency is the same and I can taste no caffeine at all. If someone just gave this to you out of the package you probably would think it was just a regular Butterfinger. Grade A for taste. They successfully added the caffeine without messing up the flavor.
Kick/Ingredients: Well it was not easy but I ate both pieces. This is a lot of candy bar to eat at one sitting. I got a pretty good buzz going in about 20 to 30 minutes. I think it took a bit longer to get into my system since it is food and not drink. The buzz I got was mid level and got me moving about pretty good. It only lasted a little over 2 hours though and there was a crash at the end. The only energy ingredients in this bar are 80 mg of caffeine and 48 grams of sugar. You do get 3 grams of protein from the peanut butter though. There are 460 calories and 76 grams of carbs. You even get 2% of your dv for iron. Ok so not a lot of nutrition but an average buzz. Grade C
Web Presence: There is a site at butterfinger.com/bcn/buzz/ . Not a lot there but they do have nutrition info as well as a game to play, a photo gallery/contest, a video clip, and some events. You could probably kill about 10 minutes there and there really is not any navigation. It does not look bad but it is just small. Grade C- for web presence.
Recap:
I can say this is the best candy bar I have tried that has added caffeine. It taste like the original and it will give you energy but just not a lot. I think it is a bit much to eat so I suggest eating only one piece with your morning coffee as a better way to take advantage of this candy bar. Try it while you can since it is limited.
