Cintron energy drink. 4 flavors

Ok so I had a bunch of energy drinks sitting around waiting for me to review them. Thing was I never got a chance to catch up on the backlog and many of them were well(years) out of date. I knew it would not be fair to judge a drink that old. Lucky for me when I contracted Cintron they agreed to hook me up with some fresh cans of their drinks. All arrived well except for the tropical Azul which unfortunately died in transit. Lets check out these drinks. It’s about time I think.

Packaging: On this front I am glad I waited. The new cans are much better than the old ones I had. These 16 oz cans look pretty sharp with their nice Gothic lettering and the different effects and  lightning(depends on the flavor) against the silver of the can. The flavor is clearly listed in a colored band around the top as well as at the bottom. Not too busy and aggressive looking. I like these cans. Grade B

Slogan: “Taste is the difference” is on their website and I like it. They are all about the taste it seems at Cintron and they want you to know these are better tasting than your typical energy drink.  Grade B-

Taste:

• Cranberry Splash: Nice cranberry scent, Really deep red lightly carbonated liquid inside. Taking a sip I get a lightly sweet cranberry flavor that is blended with so other berry flavors and then at the finish it is all tart cranberry. This is not an overpowering cranberry and is not bitter. It is refreshing and I a msure it would make a killer mixer with some vodka. Grade B
• Citrus Mango: Popping the top I get a nice peachy mango scent. The liquid inside is a bright orange with light carbonation. Taking a sip I get a not too sweet mango flavor followed by an orange and pineapple mix. It has a creamy finish and a light mouth feel. Great and unique combo. The Mango and the other flavors all come through. Grade B+
• Pineapple Passion: This one comes out a light orangish yellow color with a light carbonation. There is a nice tropical scent to this one. The taste is just really awesome. You have the Pineapple up front followed quickly by the passion fruit and then the flavors collide for a perfect tropical blend at the finish. Not to sugary  and no bitterness or after taste at all. This is a really unique and awesome flavor and easily my favorite of theirs. Grade A
• Classic: So this one has the usual “classic” energy drink scent. The liquid inside is a light golden brown with a light carbonation. I take a sip and it is a really nice take on the classic energy drink flavor. It seems more natural than most with some apple and white grape. The apple dominates though and it is a really crisp apple taste at the finish. There is no gumminess on candy in this classic flavor. Really one of the best classic energy drinks I have had in a long time. Very refreshing. Grade A-

Overall these flavors are all really refreshing and very soda like. You will enjoy drinking these and they live up to the idea of taste being the difference in Cintron drinks.

Kick/Ingredients: So I tried these drinks at various times. Each time I did I got a nice boost of energy. It was not jittery and it was not intense. It was one of those mid level boosts of energy that wakes you up without jacking you up. I could focus and get work done. It was perfect for an afternoon pick me up at work and also great in the evening at home when I wanted energy but no so much that I would not be able to sleep later. I had a good solid focused energy for 3+ hours with no crash at the end. Cintron delivers the energy from Caffeine, Taurine, Inositol, Glucuronolactone, and some B vitamins. Unfortunately I have no idea how much there is of any of these ingredients since it is not listed. I do know you get 200 calories 54 grams of carbs, and 50 grams of sugar. It is sweetened with pure cane sugar. Grade C

Web Presence: The site at cintronbeveragegroup.com is not bad. You will find some product info, News on the Cintron racing boat, Cintron Tasting team(hot chicks!), and more. It list stores that sell Cintron drinks also. Not super fun and some things are a bit out of date but overall not bad at all. Grade C+

So as promised Cintron drinks really deliver when it comes to taste. They offer a wide variety of cool flavors that do not taste at all like energy drinks and are more like really good premium sodas. I like that they are made with real cane sugar. In the kick department they are on par with your average energy drink but with less of a crash than most. I for one think these would make awesome mixers for a summer pool or beach party as well. Give them a try and let me know what you think.
