Cocktane Cherry energy drink
Ok so there are niches and that is where start ups need to go. Your probably not going to take or Red Bull Or Monster anytime soon. Cocktane is on the right track. If you are from South Carolina then this product is going to grab your attention for sure. That said I have to wonder is this a quality drink? I have seen plenty of sport team related drinks that were just a shrink-wrap label slapped on a generic drink. I talked with someone at the company though and they told me they came up with their own formulation and design so I have high hopes.
Packaging: Ok no shrink-wrap here. This is a nice 12 oz slim can with a really nice logo with a fighting cock in a big white circle. I like the striped portion around the top. It gives it a nice collegiate feel. Grade B for packaging
Slogan: “The Rooster Booster is the slogan on the can. It fun but a little campy. There is also an energy drink called Rooster Booster out there so that might be a problem. Still I give is a solid B-
Taste: Popping the top I get a nice cherry scent. Pouring some in a cup it comes out a nice rich red color with a medium light carbonation level. I take a sip and it has a nice cherry flavor. It is not a maraschino cherry but a real cherry flavor. Not overly sweet which is a big plus for me. It is great over ice and I also think it makes a pretty good mixer. There is no bitterness or aftertaste. Grade B for taste
Kick/ingredients. So I was provided several cans of this and I really enjoyed them. Each time I tried a can I got a good boost of energy with no jitters. It came in handy at work when I needed to get through the last few hours of work. At home it easily got me through the afternoon slump and into the night’s activities. I’d say I got a nice midlevel buzz that lasted 3 to 4 hours with no crash. If you are used to Redbull think a notch above that. Each 12oz can is powered by 100mg caffeine, 1000 mg Taurine, 30 mg Ginseng, 30 mg Guarana, 50 mg Inositol, 500 mg Glucuronolactone, and good doses of B vitamins including 1000% dv B12. You get all that with 150 calories and 38 grams of carbs and sugar. It is sweetened with sugar and dextrose(no HFC here). Ill give them a grade of B- for kick/ingredients

So as you can see this is not generic in the least. They have a nice professional looking can, a unique cherry flavor, and a slightly above average kick. I really like the fact that they went out and developed this drink from top to bottom. It would have been much easier to cut corners on formulation or packaging but it seems they want to deliver a quality drink and they have. If you get a chance to try some I think you will enjoy it even if you’re not a cock fan.
