Domo arigato, mr. roboto,
Doomooooo Attack energy drink

Boston America makes a bunch of these licensed energy drinks. They are pretty generic but might appeal to you based on if you like the characters. Everything from Resident evil, Simpsons, Nintendo, and more. From a collector standpoint these are pretty cool. Are they actually a decent energy drink though?
Packaging: Start off with your classic 8.4 oz energy drink can. The can is wrapped in a black shrink wrap label with a brown Domo character on it. The Domo dominates the front of the can with black eyes and a huge square mouth full of teeth. At the bottom is the name in a nice white font that reads “Domoooo! Attack” and “energy drink”. The back has Nutrition facts. I like the can and the character. I did not know what a Domo was but the image alone grabbed my attention. It fits well with an energy drink. I give them a grade of C for packaging. Not bad for a licensed product.
Slogan: None at all. Grade F
Taste: Totally expecting a RB clone I popped the top. The scent was RB clone but a little different. I poured some in a cup and it came out a translucent pink color with a medium to high carbonation. I take a sip and it is like a combination of classic RB clone combined with a sweet cherry. It has no aftertaste and is not gummy at all. Really it surprised me. I think if this was just a regular energy drink I could see me drinking this over a lot of others out there. Kudos to Boston America for making a decent tasting drink. Grade C+ for taste.
Kick/Ingredients: I drank it down with no complaints and was rewarded with you standard energy buzz. I had a good boost of energy that lasted about 3 hours and was jitter free. There was a minor crash but since the buzz was not very intense it was not too bad. Domoooo! Attack attacks you weakly with your typical mix of energy ingredients. Caffeine(I’m guessing 75 to 80 mg), Taurine. Inositol, Guarana, , and ginseng. You get 110 calories, 30 grams of carbs, and 28 grams of sugars(from HFC). It’s a passable drink but nothing exciting. Grade C-
Web Presence: The website at bostonamerica.com is all you are going to get for this drink. It is not a bad site but it does not have a lot of drink info. I’m not going to slam them since it looks nice and is easy to navigate and works and looks nice. It would be nice if they answered my emails and maybe provide some ingredients info on their website. Grade D for web presence
Recap:
I can’t say this is a bad product. I expected it to be an awful licensed product but was surprised by the taste. The kick was not the worse and I really enjoyed the packaging even though it is just a shrinkwrap on a drink that is probably used on a lot of different drinks put out by them. If you want to collect the can go ahead. It is drinkable but just don’t expect much of a kick.
