Firestar Max
Didn’t I tell you 2011 was looking like the year of the powder? Be it a mix or just a powder you pour in your mouth these things are popping up everywhere. This one is actually one of the originals. This is just a reincarnation of it. Firestar is one of the early pour in your mouth type powders. Now they have 2 versions. Max and powershot. Max being the strongest I am trying that one first.
Packaging: I really did these little packs or sachets as they call them overseas. They are different in shape than most powder products. The coloring, fonts and graphics really are all in sync with each other making for a very appealing look. It is edgy but not so much as to scare away a more mature consumer. Only let down would be the listing of actual caffeine content instead of the “similar to 2 strong coffees”. Grade A-
Slogan: “An energy Revolution” Is still their slogan and I like it. I am sure it will catch peoples attention especially if they are looking for something new. Grade B+
Taste:
Kick/Ingredients: So after taking this powder I got going pretty quickly. It did not hit me super hard but delivered as it is supposed to. It was a gradual increase the got stronger over the next hour then carried me along nicely for a good 3 to 4 hours. It is a pretty strong although not jittery buzz. I like that it is sustained and this makes it great for situations where you want to be energized but not overly wired and shaky. Each sachet(I love saying that ) comes with around 200 mg of caffeine and I think 2 grams of sugar. No other info is listed but there are not many ingredients in here except the sweet caffeine and sugar. Grade A-
Web Presence: firestar69.com is still a decent site. There is not a whole lot of ingredients info but it is well laid out. There is a faq, events and a store. They also have a, Facebook I think they could flesh out the sight a bit with more ingredients and technology information about the product. I’ll cut them a little slack though since they are new. Grade C+ for web presence.

I will say in the realm of energy powders that you eat directly without mixing Firestar Max is at the top of the heap. The little sachets are super portable (you could even keep on in your wallet). They taste great, freshen your breath, and they deliver a strong sustained energy to keep you doing whatever your doing longer and stronger.
