Foosh there it is!
Foosh Energy mints

I have had caffeinated breath spray and caffeinated candy bars so why not mints. Really a caffeine loaded mint is better in a lot of ways to a cup of coffee in the morning. Get rid of that morning breath and wake up all with one product. Pick up a one night stand and no time to go home before work in the morning? You might wake him, her, them up trying to find the coffee in a strange apartment. Avoid the embarrassment of being caught sneaking out by having a pack of Foosh mints in your purse or pocket. I mean really just because you slept with a stranger you don’t want to be using their toothbrush right? Do these mints perform though you ask?
Packaging: Foosh mints come in a tin box but I don’t have that package. I do have the 6 piece blister pack though which fit in your pocket better. So the box with the blister pack in it is about 3.5” x 1.5” and is mostly blue. There is some kind of light pattern in the background. At the top it list key ingredients in a bold white font. The middle has the name “Foosh” in a cool purple font followed by “Energy mints” in a red font over a purple stripe. There is also the image of an actual Foosh mint. Toward the bottom it reads “1 mint = 1” with the image of a cup of coffee. Finally it reads “Seriously Caffeinated”. Back has nutrition facts. I will give them a grade of C for packaging. I like the information you get just from a quick look at the package. It is also continently sized so it fit in a pocket or purse.
Slogan: “Seriously Caffeinated” is on the box several times and really gets the message out there that it has a lot of caffeine. Grade B
Taste: The blister pack slides out of the cardboard box easily and I pop one of the mints out. The mints are about the size of a dime and around ¼” thick. They are white with some blue specs and have a strong peppermint scent. I pop one into my mouth and the texture is a little coarse. It has a strong peppermint flavor like an Altoids. It takes a good 20 minutes to totally dissolve and there is a tiny bit of bitterness in their but not enough to bother me at all. If you like a strong peppermint this fits the bill as well as any non caffeinated mint easily. Grade B- for taste
Kick/Ingredients: I was having one of those days where you wake up and just can’t seem to get going. An hour after I was up I was starting to think about calling in sick and going back to sleep. I did not want to waste a good sick day like that though so I popped a Foosh mint and trudged out to my car. Before I was a mile from home I started feeling it. 15 minutes in my sleepiness had vanished and I was looking forward to work actually. I cranked up some tunes and had to monitor my speed since I was cranked up as well and did not want to get a ticket. I would say this kept me going strong at least 3 to 4 hours and there was no crash. I feel these mints hit hard since you get the caffeine sublingual but since the mint dissolves slowly the buzz last a while still. These mints have all the key ingredients. 100 mg caffeine, Taurine, Ginseng, and B vitamins. There are only 5 calories and 2 grams of carbs. They are sweetened with Sucralose and Ace K. Grade B for kick/ingredients
Web Presence: So there is a site at vroomfoods.com for Foosh energy mints and it is pretty good. They really go into the ingredients well with loads of info especially caffeine. Otherwise the site is very easy to use and works well with product info, comparison charts, a faq and a store. While it may not be fancy it is nice and very educational. There is also a myspace for Foosh Australia. Grade C+ for web presence
Recap:
Ok so even if you’re not sleeping around these will still come in super handy. You pretty much 6 energy drinks worth of energy in a six pack of mints for around 2 bucks! That is a very good value to boot. These are super portable, taste good, and hit hard and fast to get you going with fresh breath to boot. Really I don’t think you will find a better energy mint out there. Grab a pack and you won’t be disappointed.
