Burning hard, loose and clean

FUEL

Ever since I caught a glimpse of the cool can for this product online I have wanted to try it. Finally I was able to get my hands on a couple of cans. The name word fuel is used in a lot of different energy products. This is the first one I have seen with the actual name being Fuel.

Packaging: Ok so I really love the black can with the cool blue Fuel logo. This is one of the best logos I have seen in a long time. It really grabs your attention and work very well with an energy drink. The tribal blue flames in the background are great as well. Top it all off with the slogan right at the top and you have a really nice looking package. Grade A-

Slogan:  “Geared for Energy” is right on the front of the can. This is a top notch slogan that fits the name as well as the cool Logo which has a gear in it. It is a great slogan and I give it a grade of A for slogan

Taste:  No clue on the can so I pop it open and take a whiff. It has a nice fruity scent. Pouring some in a cup it comes out a dark cranberry red. This is a dense red and not very translucent at all.  The level of carbonation is very low. Taking a sip I get a nice pomegranate flavor first off followed by some mixed fruit and sweet tarts. It is a pretty unique taste for sure. For an all natural drink these tastes nothing like you expect an all natural drink to taste. It is clean with no gumminess or aftertaste. On a hot day this drink was damn satisfying. It has a clean finish that I really enjoyed. Grade B for taste

Kick/ingredients.  Ok so I was just home from a week in Vegas where of course I had burned the candle at both ends topped of with the flight home. I was super tired but really needed to get some yard work done. I opened the Edjunkie energy fridge and gazed at the plethora of assorted drinks and shots. The temp outside was about 100 degrees and the Fuel caught my attention with its refreshing yet powerful look. I chugged about half and got busy. By the time I was set to start mowing the lawn I was filled with a really great level of energy. The grass was high (hey I was out of town). I mowed the lawn twice to get it the right height and never once felt tired. I thought about quitting after that but instead grabbed the can of Fuel and chugged it down. This got my motor running and I went ahead and did the weed eating and sweeping up with energy to spare. I’d say I got a solid 4 hours of good non jittery energy with no crash. Fuel is powered by 160 mg Caffeine, Taurine 2000mg, Ginseng, Guarana, Ginko Biloba, Inositol, L-Carnitine, Coenzyme Q10, Milk Thistle, and a good dose of B vitamins. There are 260 calories, 66 grams of carbs, 64 grams of sugars. It is sweetened with cane sugar and is all natural. I give it a good C+ for kick/ingredients. Quality ingredients and an above average kick.

Web presence:  The website at fuelenergybeverage.com is pretty nice. It has a nice easy on the eyes color scheme and easy navigation. There is not a lot there but what is there is done well. The where to buy section is a complete list including addresses and phone numbers. The about us section list ingredients and includes links to the wiki pages about each ingredient. Overall it does a great job. I give it a grade of B- for web presence.
Recap:

So Fuel turned out to be a pretty damn good drink. It is all natural, great tasting, and provides a kick like you would get from your typical Monster or Rockstar drinks. So if you want a better for you drink that provides what you expect from your typical energy drink this is one I suggest you try. Let’s not forget it comes in an awesome can either.  Overall I would say if you see Fuel in the cooler next to the usual suspects I say grab the Fuel and give it a try. I think you will be happy with the decision you made.
