No turning back now going out full throttle
Full Throttle Red Berry
So here we have one of the newly reformulated Full Throttle drinks. While the other 2 flavors are pretty much the same as their old counterparts this drink is a totally new flavor. Red Berry is a new flavor. While Fury is no longer with us (and that is ashamed) they have brought out this new one in its place.
Packaging: The can I have is in a shrink wrap. Not sure if this is the final product though since I got it from Full Throttle. It has the same more sophisticated look as the other new Full Throttles. The overall look is more adult and I see the direction they are going here. It is sleek and nicely down with no clutter. Grade B
Slogan: “Hard Working” is on the label and it goes with the more mature market they seem to be seeking. Not catchy or fun but I think it could work. They also have this on their site “Feel The Energy at Work”. That is a good combo. Grade A-
Taste: So I pop the top and the scent is a strawberry soda like one. Pouring some in a cup it comes out looking like a strawberry soda with a medium to high carbonation level. Taking a sip I get a nice sweet strawberry with some minor hints of raspberry and then surprisingly the finish is like a Big Red/cream soda. So I guess I’d call it a strawberry cream soda flavor. It is damn tasty to me since I love cream soda and this is a really nice twist combined with the berries. It is very sweet but no cloying. This is an awesome taste. I am not a huge Full Throttle fan for the most part but they have nailed this one. I give it a grade of A-
Kick/Ingredients Ok so I drank this on a day when I had to work 12 hrs after about 3 hours of sleep. It took me about 10 to 15 minutes and then my eyes were opened wide. This drink gave me a jittery sugar caffeine buzz that lasted about 4 hours. I went from dead on my feet to wide awake and happy. This is a solid mid level buzz that delivers but it does come with a minor sugar crash at the end. This new formula is powered by per can 200 mg caffeine and 200 mg D-Ribose. The level of B vitamins is much higher coming in at the 200% dv level for most. It has 240 calories, 58 grams of carbs, and 58 grams of sugars. Grade B-
Web Presence: The site at drinkfullthrottle.com is not awesome or anything but it gets the job done. There is a lot of content and the navigation is pretty user friendly. You will find plenty of NHRA info, tons of multimedia stuff to check out, events, promos, and ingredients info for each drink. Good job guys. Grade B

So this flavor is hard to find at the moment but they need to get it out there. I think once people try it they will be impressed with the awesome flavor and the solid quality kick. For a big company I am really surprised at this flavor. Full Throttle has had some slip ups in the past but this gives me hope they are turning things around. When you see this grab a can I say. I am pretty sure you will find it as tasty as I did and it will deliver some good energy. Now I just hope they will put out a sugar free version with this new formulation.
