Happy Planet energy+ shot

Ok so my friends over at Thirstmonger.com hooked me up with some products from Canada. I appreciate that since I make no money off of this site and a trip to Canada is just not in my budget. One that caught my eye right away was this shot. Let’s check it out.
Packaging: Interesting and unique design. It is a 2.5 oz clear square plastic bottle with a silver label. It has the Happy Planet logo at the top and a whole lot of wording. A bit cluttered but very informative. Ingredients including caffeine amount is clearly listed and there is also a paragraph with info on some of the ingredient. Over all not exciting but definitely unique and eye catching. Grade B
Slogan: “Live large Drink Small” is on their site and I actually like it a lot. It is fun. Grade A-
Taste: So I twist of the lid and get an herbal grape scent. The liquid inside is a dark brown. Taking a sip I get a somewhat unpleasant taste. There is some subdued grape in the background but mostly it is all herbal and earthy. I can definitely tell this is a healthy natural product. It tastes like something you would buy from a hippie in Birkenstock sandals at a local health food store. It is bitter from the Yerba mate and the ingredients. You will want to slam this one down quickly with a chaser. Grade D
Kick/Ingredients: I slammed it down and it brought a scowl to my face. Then in 15 minutes it hit me. It did not hit hard but I felt a really great rise in energy, focus, and mood. I was suddenly in a great mood and was motivated to really get some work done. I could have left the task to my co worker(since it was his job) but I was felling so good I did it and was not even bitter about doing his job while he wasted time on Facebook. I had a really great not jittery energy and I felt great for a good 3 to 4 hours with no crash at all. So what is in this all natural shot? Some interesting stuff like 150 mg caffeine(from coffee beans), Guarana, , Kola Nut, Yerba Mate, brahmi herb, Ginseng, Ginko Biloba, lemon balm, St. John’s wort, oat greens, and an assortment of vitamins. You get this with 40 calories and 11 grams of carbs and sugars. It is sweetened only by grape juice. Overall I give it a B for kick/ingredients.
Web Presence: the site at happyplanetshots.com Is a pretty fun site and you should check it out. It has a cool little flash thing with a turtly on a treadmill that is very amusing. Thye also provide some good ingredients info also. They do have a Facebook as well. Grade B+
Recap:
Ok so this was a great shot for energy and mood boosting. It has a bunch of unique ingredients, comes in an interesting bottle, and is all natural. The only downfall is the taste. If you can choke this shot down though I say go for it. It really put me in a great mood.
