Headshot Blueberry Slam Mega energy shot
It’s been a while since I tried my first Headshot Mega energy shot. I tried the apple last time and I remember it scored really well across the board. I’m really looking forward to giving this one a try since it is in a unique flavor. On of the better things about this shot I want to mention is availability. They are available at Walmart so chances are you can find one easily next to the check out.
Packaging: Headshot Blueberry Slam Mega energy shot comes in a 4 oz thick plastic bottle with a Blue screw on lid. The Bottle is wrapped in a black and blue label. There are some squiggly mixed blue patterns mixed in with some blur camo patterns scattered around in the background. Vertical in the middle is the name “Blueberry slam” with a little graphic of a blueberry. Also vertical in the middle is the name “Headshot” in a cool ragged white font. In the letter O of headshot name is a Reticle(crosshair) like you would see in a scope and above all this is the headshot smiley face with x’s for eyes. The back has the nutrition facts. I have to say I really love this packaging. The smiley face character is one of the best I have seen on a shot or a drink. The fonts are fun, and they get credit for the crosshairs in the O of their name which has since been copied by both Rockstar and Monster for their shots. Headshot had the idea first. I give them a grade of A- for packaging
Slogans: As I have said before I was disappointed here. This drink/shot screams out for a cool slogan. I found one this time though that maybe I missed in my Apple slam review. “The energy shot for your head” is what I found on their website. Not bad. I will give them a grade of B- for slogan
Taste ect: Ok so I have never had a blueberry flavored shot or a blueberry energy drink so I am looking forward to this one. I twist off the lid and I get a nice blueberry scent with no medicinal or vitamin smell. I pour some in a cup and it comes out a deep dark blue color with no carbonation. It reminds me the blue you might use when dieing Easter eggs. I take a sip and is a really nice rich blueberry flavor. It is not overly sweet but has just the right level of sweetness you would want with a blueberry flavor. I did not slam it because it was really enjoyable and the 4oz size really gives you enough so you can enjoy this flavor. No need to just” get it over with” like some shots. There is no bitterness at all and no after taste. I could easily drink an entire 8oz can of this if it was a drink and you can’t say that about many shots. Grade A for taste. If you like blueberry you will love this. If you don’t like blueberry then you will not. I can imagine this would make an awesome mixer for some type of shot as well and now that I think about it I will have to try it in a shot. The flavor should work well.
Kick/Ingredients: I knew what to expect from prior experience with headshot drinks and I was not disappointed this time either. With in 15 minutes I was much more alert and talkative. In 30 minutes I was feeling like their trade mark smile face guy. Full of energy and generally getting stuff done in quick fashion. I was not jittery at all. Crash was minimal to none. Energy ingredients are Taurine 1000 mg, Guarana 50 mg, Caffeine ??? mg, Inositol 24 mg, and B vitamins at a high level. Top ingredients listed are Water, Sucrose, and citric acid. It comes in at 90 calories and 21 grams of sugar. B+ for kick. As usual Headshot Megashot really performs well.
Web presence: They have a pretty good site at headshotenergyshot.com. The site looks better than last time I visited with ingredients information, our story, where to buy, and an online store. Your not gonna spend a lot of time there but it looks really sharp and is easy to navigate. I see some great potential for maybe a cool flash game using the whole headshot scope thing. I have to say this was a really good shot. Next time your checking out at walmart don’t pass it by. The flavor is really good (if you like blueberry) and unique. You get a smooth buzz that last and it has great potential as a mixer I think (like maybe a blueberry martini?). It is easily available and if you only want half it is resealable.
