Hydrive is still one of my favorite energy drink companies. I have really enjoyed all of their drinks. They are different with low sugar and purified water. They are just flat out refreshing. They don’t skimp on the energy part either. Of course as soon as I heard they had still yet anther new flavor I could not wait to get my hands on it.
Packaging: Hydrive A comes in their nice slim clear plastic 15.5 oz bottle. The bottle has a black plastic resealable lid. I have seen several different things printed on the Hydrive lids but this one has my favorite “Wake Up” The graphic and fonts are different than the other bottles I have reviewed for Hydrive. At the top in yellow font is the flavor “Kiwi Strawberry”. In the middle of the front of the bottle is “Hydrive” in a black font that has a white outline over a yellow and maroon purple swirl pattern. Then there is a maroon purple Rectangle on towards the bottom that has a big letter A in a yellow to purple fade ed font and also “Alertness Formula” in a white font. Finally you have “Enhanced water energy drink” in a yellow font at the bottom. On the back are supplement facts and some key alertness ingredients highlighted in the maroon purple rectangle. They have redesigned the label and I like a lot of things about it. I like the black font with the white outline that really jumps out at you. I do miss the starburst pattern though. Grade B for packaging
Slogans: On the lid as I mentioned is “Wake Up” which is one of my favorites. Short and to the point. Grade B for slogan
Taste ect: Well I twist of the lid and I get a nice Kiwi strawberry scent. I expected mostly strawberry but the kiwi really comes through. The drink itself is a nice bright pink color that is translucent with no carbonation. I take a sip and it tastes like a sweet kiwi with some strawberry at the finish. I love the taste of kiwis (the fruit not the bird) and to me this drink gets the kiwi flavor better than most I have tried. Usually the strawberry is all you taste in most drinks. It has a pretty high level of sweetness but you can still taste the water in this drink which makes it more thirst quenching. There is not bitterness or aftertaste at all. I’ll give it a grade of B for taste. It is a little sweet for me but still very good.
Kick/Ingredients: After drinking this whole bottle it hit me pretty good. I was awake and alert and even though I sitting in front of a PC for hours early in the morning. I was able to get some work done on the website and do some research all while watching some tv and occasionally talking on the phone. I was a multi tasking machine like that for a good 4 hours and there was zero crash. The Hydrive Alertness formula consist of Guarana, Ginseng, and a vitamins B3, B6, B5, and B12. Then you have their usual 145 mg Caffeine, 50 mg taurine L-Carnitine , and L-Arginine. There are 30 calories with 6 grams of carbs and sugars. It is sweetened with Sucrose and Sucralose. I give Hydrive A a grade of B for kick/ingredients
