Hydrive energy Chews. Berry Burst
Ok so people who did not like orange felt left out of the joy that is Hydrive energy chews. So Hydrive decided to help you all out by releasing these great little energy chews in a berry flavor. I am always glad when a company offers there product in different flavors.
Packaging: Like the original orange flavor these berry chews come in a nice little pouch that containing 4 foil wrapped soft chews. At the top it reads “Full Power energy chews” in white font which jumps out well against the red packaging. The gright Hydrive logo looks good in the middle and these have a hole in the pack so you can hang them up easily to display. Nice packaging. Grade B
Slogan: “Better Energy” is the perennial slogan for all Hydrive products and reflects well the idea behind all Hydrive products. Grade B
Taste: So I tore open the package and got a hint of berry scent. Opening the foil pack on the very soft chews(much softer than a starburst) I get a nice little red rectangle. I chew 2 of them up and there is a nice mixed berry flavor with just a hint of grit and some slight saltiness. There is a hint of an after taste but just a tad. Overall a nice enjoyable flavor. These might not be as good as the orange chews but they are as good as most chewy candies. Grade B- for taste
Kick/Ingredients: I was going for a jog so I chewed up 2 of these while I did some stretching and washed them down with some water. In about 10 minutes my energy was up and I was ready to go. I felt like my usual run required less effort and I tons of smooth energy. I got to my usual turn around point but was feeling so good that I went at least another mile no problems. I made it back home and still had some pep left. I’d say the energy lasted 4 hours with no crash. These chews power you with 80mg caffeine, 66mg of Taurine, full daily values of your B vitamins, and 200% dv for vitamin C. You get this with 40 calories, 8 grams of carbs, and 6 grams of sugars. You even get 10% of your daily calcium! Grade B+ for kick/ingredients

As with the orange flavor I really enjoyed these chews. They gave me some good energy for my exercise and if my run had been longer I could have easily brought more along to provide energy and carbs until I was finished. I think they are onto something with these chews and I highly suggest you give them a try. You can easily get 2 sample packs from the Hydrive website and all you have to pay is shipping. So really there is no reason not to try these. While the berry is not as tasty as the orange it is still a great product and now orange haters can enjoy Hydrive chews as well.
