Hydrive extra strength Black Cherry
I am not going to lie to you. I love Hydrive drinks. You see where I live it is often hat as hell and humid. Then to top things off I tend to sleep late and am often doing outdoor activities in the heat of the day. When you are hot and sweaty the last thing I want it a sickly sweet carbonated energy drink. I need my caffeine and my hydration though. Hydrive fits the bill perfectly. Lets see how their new Extra Strength works out.
Packaging: Usual Hydrive slim plastic bottle. They don’t have the Lettering system in use on this one which is a bummer because you can line up the different flavors of the past and spell stuff. Still though this is a nice design and it look refreshing. They also include caffeine content clearly on the label. Grade B
Slogan: “The Healthier way to Re-Energize” is on the bottle and it works ok. Not a lot of fun but it gets the message across. Grade C+
Taste: So twisting off the lid I get a really nice Black Cherry scent. The liquid itself is non carbonated and a deep dark red translucent color. Taking a sip I get a nice black cherry flavor. This is not a candied maraschino cherry this is the real deal. It has a richer bolder taste and is less sugary than your usual cherry flavor. On a hot day it has just the right level of sweetness combined with the water that you will have a hard time not chugging the whole thing down. No bitterness, no after taste, and no sticky sugary gunk coating your mouth. Get some now. Grade A-
Kick/Ingredients: So I tried this drink several times and it delivered each time. On a long bike ride it kept me refreshed and rehydrated while giving me a nice smooth burst of energy that allowed me to perform and a better than usual level. Mowing the lawn on a hot day I was wiped out and ready to call it a day. Instead I got a cold Hydrive out of the fridge and chugged it down. In 10 minutes I was back out there finishing up and even doing more than I had planned for the day. I always got a good 4 hours of strong energy for a good 4 hours with no crash. They have kicked it up all the way around when it comes to the energy. 195 mg caffeine, 50 mg Taurine, 25 mg Yerba Mate, L-Arginine L-Carnitine, and increased levels of B vitamins. It also delivers some electrolytes. This comes with only 30 calories and 6 grams of carbs and sugar. It is sweetened with sugar and sucralose. Grade B+

There is quite a bit to see(including a store) on the site so look it over. They have a Facebook and a Twitter that they actually keep up to date! Then there is a QR code on the bottle that takes you to a site that is worth a visit also. Grade B+

Ok so this is some good stuff. Take everything cool and good about Hydrive and then kick it up a notch and how could you go wrong. Great product all around and I often recommend Hydrive drinks to my readers when they ask my opinion. Now I have a new one to recommend to those that want more caffeine.
