Hydrive X “ Triple berry
I have seen Hydrive many times in it’s sharp plastic bottle at my local Target store. I kept putting it off since I had so many drinks to try. Then one day BAMMM there is a new bottle and Hydrive X. I decided it was time to try Hydrive drinks. This will be the first Hydrive drink I review.
Packaging: Hydrive X comes in a 15.5 oz resealable plastic bottle. I like resealable since it makes it portable and I also don’t always want to drink a full 15+ oz energy drink. The bottle is a good shape and fits nicely in your hand. The bottle is clear so you can see the drink inside. There is the phrase “Better Energy” molded into the top and a big Red and Purple label on the bottle. The name” Hydrive X” is in the middle in a bold font with a sunburst behind it. The sunburst fades from the name into the large X. Very nice touch! I’ll give Hydrive X a grade of B for packaging. It’s a great bottle with a cool label that calls out to you.
Slogans: “Better Energy” That is their slogan and it is a good one. It grabs you and is simple but effective. I give it a grade of B. It gets their message that this is a better healthier energy drink.
Taste ect: I open the bottle and it smells lightly like berries. It is a medium reddish purple color with no carbonation. It taste like cranberry, mixed berries, and a little grape thrown in. It’s not heavy at all and is not overly sweet which makes it thirst quenching and it goes down very smooth. I get no after taste at all. They get a grade of B for this flavor.
Kick/Ingredients: Hydrive X is a spring water based drink. The X is for antioxidants which there are 6 of including EGCG, Polyphenols, Gingko Biloba, Selenium, Zinc, and Grape Seed Extract. These antioxidants are mixed with 145mg of caffeine, 6 grams of carbs and only 30 calories per bottle. I got a nice boost that was smooth and jitter free. The boost lasted several hours with little to no crash. This is a great morning drink since it is so thirst quenching and hydrating. Premium ingredients all around. I give it a grade of B for kick and ingredients. The best of both worlds here with big boost and healthy ingredients.
Web presence: Hydrive has a nice website at hydriveenergy.com. The site has an outdoors mountain climbing theme to it and has plenty of information about all the Hydrive drinks. There is a section on flavors, where to buy, a store for ordering Hydrive merchandise, a faq page and a lot more. If you search the web you will find plenty of hits for Hydrive energy as well. I give the site a grade of B. Not flash but it is complete and provides plenty to look at.

Like I always say. The energy drink market is complex and has many different area where different types of drinks can thrive. Hydrive X fits in it’s little section well by providing a spring water based hydrating energy drink with plenty of health benefits. While it is doing that it also does not skimp on the caffeine or taste. I’m sure there is room in any good ed junkies repertoire for Hydrive X.
