Jolt Passion Fruit
Let’s have a look at the latest Jolt flavor I say. We all know about Jolt in its many forms. It is one of the first if not the very first energy drinks. It has evolved with the times and not rested so it has continued to be an important player in the energy drink game. Passion fruit is a nice flavor and one I have looked forward to trying since I first heard of Jolt releasing it.
Packaging: The giant 24oz battery can is a hallmark by now. You see it and you know it is Jolt. This package has allowed Jolt to stand out at the store and grab your attention. Getting this attention has to be good for sales. Of course the resealable can is a plus and Monster should have taken note of this when it decided to make their BFC cans. Jolt Passion Fruit is in a can that is a yellow color at the top and the name is in a white and yellow font across the yellow top and black lower can. At the top is reads “carbonated energy” and it also reads “Energized with Taurine, Guarana,Ginseng&vitamin B complex. The top portion has nice silver lightning bolt pattern. On the back there is a miniature version of the old Jolt logo which is a nice touch and there is also their website address. I will give them a grade of A for packaging. I love all the Jolt cans and this one is no exception.
Slogans: As in my other Jolt reviews the slogan is still “Carbonated energy” Not bad. Not a catchy slogan but it is truthful and different. They are proud of their carbonation! On their site is also the slogan “Blow the lid off” I’ll give them a B for slogan which is better than average for sure.
Taste ect: Ok the thing about reviewing multiple flavors from a drink company is that most areas I review like Packaging and Slogans are pretty much the same. Flavor is the main difference so let’s get right to it. There is a slight fruity scent when you twist off the cap and it pours out a nice clear golden yellow. It looks refreshing and has a nice carbonation. It tastes light and has a mild passion fruit flavor. I hate to use this word with an energy drink but it is really a delicate flavor. It is refreshing and not overly sweet and really nails the Passion fruit flavor without being overly sweet and sugary. I even tried this flavor mixed with some Vodka and it held up very well also. If you’re of age I think this makes a nice mixer you should try. I’m giving Jolt Passion Fruit a grade of B+ for flavor. Alone or in a mixed drink it is pretty damn tasty.
Kick/Ingredients: As in all the Jolt battery cans Passion Fruit Jolt has 280mg. of caffeine, approximately 2,800 mg. of taurine, 56 mg. of both Gaurana and Ginseng. There is a load of B vitamins as well. 360 calories per can and 87 grams of sugar round up the energy. I got a great amount of energy as I consumed the entire can including some mixed. The energy lasted 4 or 5 hours and surprisingly had no crash. I give them a B for kick. As usual Jolt delivers.
Web presence: Jolt has a top notch site at joltenergy.com that is loaded with info. You have everything you expect and more. Videos, Pictures, concoctions, store, about, Faq,news. I spent 30 minutes there and still probably missed something. They get a grade of A for web presence. Great official site, tons of hits if you google them, and a myspace page
Recap:
Jolt Passion Fruit Is one of the best flavors of Jolt I have tried. In typical fashion it delivers a good value, a nice kick, and a great flavor. I can’t wait to review and try their other flavors in the coming months.
