Live Acai Energy Drink
I always look forward to review a drink from Live. I mean you know when you buy a Live energy drink that 50% of the profit is going to a charity. Makes you feel good for helping out and usually you’re getting a quality energy drink on top of that. Let’s check out Live’s take on an Acai flavored energy drink.
Packaging: As always Live comes in a 12 oz slim can. This can is a clean glossy white at the top with the bottom being a pale red color. Live drinks always a stark look to them which really is nice .In the middle of the white portion you have the Live logo which is the word Live with the common charity ribbon symbol used as the letter v. On this flavor the logo is the pale red like the bottom of the can. In the red bottom portion of the can it reads “Aids Research” in a white font and also reads “50 Percent Of Profits Go Toward The Fight against Hiv/Aids” in white font as well. On the side of the can is a paragraph about the charity concept and the phrase “Join the Fight” The back has nutrition facts. I really like the cans Live puts out. The smooth stark look just makes it classy and professional. Grade B+
Slogan: Different drink and different slogan. “Join The Fight” I know does not scream energy at you but it does work well with the charity aspect of Live drinks. I give this on a grade of B+
Taste: I open the can and get a nice sweet berry type scent. Pouring some in a glass it comes out a pale yellow color with a medium level of carbonation. It is a clear yellow color and looks pretty refreshing with the carbonation bubbles. I take a sip and it is a real nice Acai berry flavor with maybe just a tiny bit of classic apple energy drink flavor. There is no bitterness or aftertaste. The Acai flavor here is a light refreshing one and the words that came to mind were this is like an Acai soda. Really I have to say it is probably the best Acai flavored drink I have tried so far. Grade B for taste.
Kick/Ingredients: I had a lot of errands to run and it was raining and cold. I grabbed the can and drank half of it before hitting the road. I finished the rest as I drove. I was already feeling a lot more alert before I got out the door and by the time I arrived I had a really nice buzz going. I finished my errands and even though the weather sucked I ventured on to do some other things while I was out. I easily got a good 4 hours of energy and there was really no crash to speak of. The energy in Live Acai Berry comes from Taurine, Caffeine, Inositol, Glucuronolactone, B vitamins, and organic cane sugar. There are 114 calories, 33 carbs, and 30 grams of sugar. This is a natural drink with no artificial flavors to top things off. I will give it a grade of B for kick. This drink provides a nice smooth buzz.
Web Presence: drinklive.org is a nice site that sticks with the smooth classy look of the can. It has sections on Mission, Causes, Flavors, events, community, and retailers. I still think it could use more ingredients information. I do like that you can get more information on the actual charities that Live supports. They also have a facebook group. I will give them a B- for web presence.

I really enjoy this flavor from Live and can see myself drinking it on a regular basis. I can also see someone who does not usually like energy drinks enjoying this as it has such a nice soda type flavor. I have started seeing Live drinks at more stores and that is a good thing since I believe this is a company we should all support.
