Bueno for nada

Lost Cadillac energy drink

So I have had lost energy drinks in the past and enjoyed them. I like Cadillacs. So would I like Lost Cadillac cantina cocktail?

Packaging: Lost Cadillac comes in a 16 oz can.  The can is green and silver. Lost is in big letters diagonally up the front. It looks more like Jolt than lost. You really should make your brand name readable. It also says Cadillac below the lost name and you can read that. It also reads “cantina cocktail around the top but it is so faded you have to look close. There is a nice Cadillac emblem as well as some skeletons ala Día de los Muertos. There is a little story on the back about a trip to Mexico. The really cool thing is a sheep with a sombrero on the back. Sorry but I have to grade it a D for packaging. I mean your Lost so make your name brand readable and make sure it does not look like another brand. The faded text on most of the can is unreadable. Skeletons and sheep are cool if you can see them. So much potential wasted.

Slogans:  Ride all day rage all night. Bueno for Nada. Take your pick for slogans. The first is fairly cool the second if fairly truthful. I’ll give them a grade of  B for  slogans. One is cool the other truthful so not to bad.

Taste ect:  Ok from what I can gather this is supposed to be a margarita flavor. Look I know margaritas. I’ve had them in many states and in many forms. It’s a way of life here in Texas. Your basic or Cadillac margarita is Tequila, Orange liqueur, Lime juice. This results in a mostly lime flavor with a hint of orange and tequila. This is the second supposedly Cadillac margarita flavored ed(Monster BFC is the other). I taste the lime but there is an underlying grapefruit flavor. WTF! I don’t get it. This should be an easy flavor to nail down. Lime with a hint of orange. Still I like grapefruit flavor so I will give it a grade of D. I had a margarita tonight and this lost taste nothing like it.

Kick/Ingredients: Ok not going so good so far. I’m usually pretty easy to please. You got your taruine 2000mg per can, Load of B vitamins, and an energy blend of the usual suspects. No word anywhere of the actual amounts of this blend. How much Caffeine, Guarana, Ginseng? No one knows. I had a nice smooth buzz and was able to concentrate well. I’ll give them an average of C

Web presence:  They have a site at lostenterprises.com but there is zero information about their drink. For a major player in the market this site sucks for drink info. They also have a myspace page but there is very little info there either. I give them a grade of F. For a company of this stature this is just not up to par. Tiny companies have better pages than this.

Really the drink taste ok but is not what they say it is. There can is a serious letdown, their kick is mysterious and average, and their web presence is just sad.  It’s worth a try but they are squandering their potential.
