Loud Truck Energy Gummies. Red Blast

Ok here we go with another alternative energy product. This time we have Gummies! Yes that is right those little rubbery candy treats jacked up with energy ingredients. This should be fun.
Packaging: Starts off with a little square foil pack. The pack is black with some red trim. In the upper left corner there is a silver patch that Proclaims “1 bag = 1 energy soda”. Note that it says energy soda not energy drink. To the right of this silver patch it reads “No Crash Energy” in a silver font. Further down there is the Loud Truck logo which is a red truck with a bunch of loud speakers poking out of it. Below this is reads “Energy Gummies” in a green font followed by the flavor “Red Blast” in red font. On the back there are supplement facts. I think the front might be a little busy with too much writing. It is packed with a lot of info but it is too much to take in easily. I will give it a grade of C+ for packaging. It is not bad but just a bit busy for my taste.
Slogan: All I could find was “No Crash Energy” not bad but not really much of a slogan. There is a lot of potential for a better one with this unique product I think. Grade C+
Taste: Ok so I open the bag and get a nice cherry candy scent. I pour out some of the candies and I am very surprised. They are bear shaped. I was expecting them to be different but I am very happy they are actually gummi bears. Popping one into my mouth it has a nice cherry flavor with only a hint of after taste that you probably won’t notice much. The consistency is spot on with just the right amount of rubberiness that a gummi bear should have. These are really sweet and delicious and taste like a gummi should. I give them a grade of B+ for taste. If you like cherry gummi bears these are some damn good ones.
Kick/Ingredients: There are nine gummies in a bag (wish there were more) and this is a serving. I ate the bag pretty quickly and the buzz kicked in 15 or 20 minutes later. It was a gradual rise in alertness with no jitters. It was on par with drinking a Mountain Dew or Vault soda. Just like it stated on the package “1 Bag = 1 energy Soda” energy soda being the key word here. The mild buzz lasted about 3 hours and there was no crash. So what are the energy ingredients you ask? You get 64 mg Caffeine from Guarana, 72 mg Taurine, Ribose, Glucuronolactone, Coenzyme Q10, good doses of B vitamins, and 750% of your DV for Vitamin C. There are only 60 calories and 14 grams of carbs, and 13 grams of sugars. Not bad at all and I will give them a C+ for kick/ingredients. You are getting some good vitamins, not a lot of sugar or calories and an average kick. If you were to eat 2 bags of these I would grade them B
Web Presence: They have a website at loudtruckgummi.com which is not bad. You can find product info, and about section, and a store. It is easy to find what you need. Not a lot of content but it gets the job done. Grade C+ for web presence.
Recap:
I enjoyed my energy gummie bears. Really they are a good product. They are portable so they are easy to take with you to work or on a bike ride or hiking ect. You can carry them on a plane since they are not liquid. They are fun delicious sweet cherry gummie bears and that in itself is a reason to buy some. Skip the Mountain dew and have a pack of these instead. Two bags of these might replace your energy drink and one is a great substitute for your energy sodas and has a lot less sugar and is much more nutritious. To top it off the price is a bargain at a 1 dollar per pack! So now that I think about it you could get 2 bags for the price of your average energy drink and that would allow them to replace your average energy drink and provide you with 128 mg of caffeine!
