Assault Modern Warfare 2 special edition

Ok so I have not gotten around to reviewing Monster Assault. With this new limited edition can coming out though I thought it would be a good time. I think it is a damn good idea as well teaming up Assault with this video game. Call of Duty is a huge war related video game franchise and the release of Modern Warfare 2 is greatly anticipated by gamers. Assaults camo look was a natural fit.
Packaging: I have to say that over time Monster has really improved this particular can. The camo pattern is much better now that it was originally. Now with the addition of the Modern Warfare 2 solider graphic it just makes it that much better. I like the aggressive look of this can a lot. Heck just looking at this can makes me want to play the game. Grade A-
Slogan: I picked this out of the little blurb on the side of the can. “Grab a Monster Assault and prepare to wage an all out assault against the many faces of Modern Warfare” I know that is a bit big to be a slogan but still it is pretty cool. Grade C
Taste: I pop the top and get a nice cherry and monster scent. Pouring some in a cup it comes out a reddish brown color with a medium carbonation. I drink some and get it right away. Some have had a hard time figuring out this flavor but to me it is a nice cherry cola flavor with a hint of monster. It is a very sweet cherry cola though and I think it shines best over ice so it is good and cold. If it is not really cold it is a bit sweet for me. I will give it a grade of B for taste
Kick/Ingredients: I could go into this a lot but really why bother. It has the typical Monster energy blend in the usual amounts. I got a nice upper level buzz going quickly and a slight bit of jitters followed by a solid crash. The buzz lasted a good 3 to 4 hours. Nothing ground breaking in here just 160 mg Caffeine, 2000 mg Taurine, 400 mg Ginseng, Guarana, Inositol, Glucuronolactone, L-Carnitine , and B vitamins at the 100% level. It provides a solid buzz and sugar crash with 200 calories, 50 grams of sugars and 50 grams of carbs. Sweetened with Sucrose and sucralose. I give it a grade of B for kick/ingredients.
Web Presence: Well it is cutting edge and chocked with a ton of things to do. Monster always provides an awesome web presence. The only problem I have is the fact that some older browsers and PCs can’t handle it. At my job my computer is not up to date enough so I can’t even look at the site from there. I think they should offer a less intense site for those who don’t have the latest and greatest. Grade A- for web presence
Recap:
Well I find a lot to like about this drink. I love the Call of Duty franchise and it fits so well with the packaging. The drink itself is very unique flavor wise and a nice break from the usual. The kick is better than average but nothing unique or spectacular. This is a solid product for one of the big boys and I can easily recommend it. I can also recommend all of the Call of duty games that ties in with this edition of Monster Assault. Really what goes better with video gaming than energy drinks anyway?
Thanks to the video game company for this sample
